Almost exactly ten years ago, Robin Roberts was facing one of the most difficult moments of her life.

"The morning after [Hurricane Katrina hit], I was there on the Gulf Coast reporting and I broke down. It was the first time I had ever done that," the Good Morning America co-anchor, 54, tells PEOPLE. "I had been driving all night long and lost contact with my family, who was in Biloxi, Mississippi, at the time. I didn't know when I was driving what I would find."

ABC Latest News | Latest News Videos Kelly Rutherford says she believes her children's voices "have not been heard" after a New York judge sent them back to Monaco this week.

"I walked into a courtroom where everything felt like it was already done. It was a done deal," Rutherford told Good Morning America's Robin Roberts on Friday morning. "His mother was sitting there with plane tickets, smiling, ready to take them."

Son Hermes, 8, and daughter Helena, 6, left for the airport with their paternal grandmother Tuesday straight from the courtroom. Initially, Rutherford did not fully comply with the judge's order by arriving at the hearing alone, saying she wanted to protect the children from media exposure.

During his limo ride after he all but proposed to Kaitlyn Bristowe – and got rejected – Viall, 34, called himself the "world's biggest joke," and, staying true to the show's dramatic nature, took off a ring he and Bristowe had gotten together in Ireland and tossed it across the car.
