Miley Cyrus Is Fergie's Choice at Teen Awards

Fergie turns out to be as big a Miley Cyrus fan as anybody – as the Black Eyed Peas singer demonstrated at Sunday's 10th annual Teen Choice Awards.
During the Hannah Montana star's opening number – Cyrus hosted the show, at Universal City's Gibson Amphitheatre – she performed her single "7 Things," running in every direction but stopping to deliver a rose to audience member Fergie.
And Fergie's reaction? Just like any other Hannah Montana fan's. She started jumping up and down.

Ed Westwick Calls Chace Rumors 'Amusing To Us'

Things have gotten a little more gossipy for Gossip Girl heartthrobs Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick – but then, the two guys know the territory.
"I just laugh them off," Westwick told PEOPLE about the discussions heating up the Internet – questioning the nature of his and Crawford's relationship.
"What are you going to do?" says Westwick. "People who know me and Chace and the cast know that we are all great friends. And that's the extent of it all. Those things that go around are just amusing to us, really."

OMG! Gossip Girl leads the pack for this year's Teen Choice Awards with a whopping 14 nominations.
Among the "choice" nods for the hit CW series: TV show drama and TV breakout show. While cast members Chace Crawford and Penn Badgley are vying for the title of TV actor drama, actress Blake Lively is up for female hottie, the FOX network announced Tuesday.

Gossip Girl Mom: Blake and Penn a 'Darling' Couple

The off-screen romance of Gossip Girl stars Blake Lively and Penn Badgley has met with parental approval of a sort: actress Kelly Rutherford, who plays Lively's mom on the show, gives the couple a thumbs up.
"I think they're so lovely," Rutherford told PEOPLE on Thursday at the debut of designer Rogan Gregory's fashion line for Target at Barney's department store in Beverly Hills.

Gossip Girl Star Gets Ready for Prom

Gossip Girl's Connor Paolo – whose character, Eric, just came out of the closet – had some real-life high school drama on his hands recently.
"I actually was shopping with my girlfriend yesterday for her prom dress," the 17-year-old told PEOPLE at the Entertainment Weekly/Vavoom Upfronts party in N.Y.C. Tuesday night. "We're debating. But it's going to be fine. She's just grappling with prices."
So who is the lucky girl? Actress Alice Kremelberg, who's had guest appearances on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and 30 Rock. (She currently has a small role in Tina Fey's hit Baby Mama.)
"[The dance] is June 13th – Friday the 13th," said Paolo – who already has a tux, thanks to the show's wardrobe department. "It's going to be awesome."

Leighton Meester: Trying Her Hand at Rap?

Leighton Meester's show Gossip Girl is one big hit. But could the young starlet consider switching to a career as a rapper?
"I have a huge range of songs," Meester, 22, told the blog Just Jared at a promotional event in New York Wednesday about her burgeoning musical career.
Explains the actress: "[On] some of them I just talk, I do a little – not rapping – but talking, sort of spoken word. It's a little Fergie, a little like Gwen Stefani and M.I.A."

Blake Lively and Penn Badgley: Just Friends

They may be hot-and-heavy on their hit show, but Blake Lively swears there's no off-screen romance with her Gossip Girl castmate Penn Badgley.
Now that the show's a hit, "Everybody always tries to dig into your personal life or create things that aren't there. . . . It's silly," Lively told PEOPLE at the Chanel Fine Jewelry event on Wednesday night. "Any male friend is obviously a 'romance alert' [for the media], but I've always been friends with boys my whole life. "
(Penn also attended the event, arriving just after Lively.)
So how does she deal with the tabloid reports?

Blake Lively Tries to Avoid the Hollywood 'Nonsense'

Blake Lively says she's not much like her Gossip Girl character, the socialite-in-training Serena van der Woodsen, except in one respect – she wants to be a good person amid all the drama of her situation.
"I think that I strive to do the right thing and not fall into the norm [like] so many young people in Hollywood who ... get caught up in some of the nonsense," the 20-year-old actress tells the Associated Press. "I really try to steer clear of that. So, you know, we're like that in the same way."
There may be a couple of other similarities, too. "We both giggle a lot. We look alike," she adds.

Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester Says She's 'Really Close' to Chace Crawford

Yes, he's dreamy. But Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester is shooting down talk of a romance with costar Chace Crawford.
"For the record, not true!" she told PEOPLE at the Monday night at The Help Group's Annual Teddy Bear Ball, where CW head honcho Dawn Ostroff was being honored.
But the brunette, 21, does admit that Crawford is one of her favorite costars. "I'm really close to Chace," she said. "We're really good friends. [Along with] Nicole [Fiscella], who plays Isabel on the show. We're all just really happy people. We have the same views on life."
