[CUSTOM_PLAYER_BRIGHTCOVE "4816212584001"] It's been 10 years since Hannah Montana, the pre-teen pop star whose secret identity just happened to be a girl named Miley graced our hearts and screens and minds. In the intervening time, we learned that Miley Cyrus can twerk, that she really likes to get high and that, all told, she's got a lot more to her than her beginnings as a Disney moppet would've suggested.

Miley Cyrus says there's a reason why she's acting the way she is nowadays – it's Hannah Montana's fault.
The 20-year-old who twerked up a storm at the VMAs and got naked in her new "Wrecking Ball" video, says being cast on the Disney show when she was 13 made her grow up in a hurry.
"I was an adult when I was supposed to be a kid," she says in the October issue of Harper's Bazaar. "So now I'm an adult and I'm acting like a kid."

Could one of Hannah Montana's sidekicks end up in jail?
Mitchel Musso, 20, has been charged with two counts of drunken driving, TMZ reports.
The Disney Channel star – best known for his work as Miley Cyrus's pal Oliver Oken on Hannah Montana – was arrested in Burbank, Calif., on Oct. 16 after he allegedly failed to slow down for police directing traffic for an unrelated accident.

While one Disney star just made headlines for getting engaged, another is making them for reportedly breaking the law.
Mitchel Musso, who played one of Miley Cyrus's sidekicks on Hannah Montana, was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of DUI, according to police.
With a blood-alcohol level "well over" the legal limit of .08, Burbank, Calif., Sgt. Sean Kelly told the Burbank Leader that Musso "drove through [an] intersection and failed to do what [an] officer instructed him to do."

President-elect Barack Obama's two young daughters have been invited to appear on Hannah Montana.
"We're pleased that Malia and Sasha are fans and, as long as their parents say it's OK, they are invited to the set of Hannah Montana and all Disney Channel shows, for a guest role or a visit, anytime," the Disney Channel says in a statement.
The Disney Channel statement follows a personal invite from Billy Ray Cyrus, father of the show's star Miley Cyrus, for Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, to take part in an episode.
"You know the Hannah Montana film comes out in April. Maybe something might happen around then," he tells Access Hollywood.

Hannah Montana fans can release a collective sigh of relief: Despite reports of an early exit, teen superstar Miley Cyrus says she isn't retiring her blonde wig anytime soon.
"I am fully committed to Hannah Montana. It's what gave me this amazing opportunity to reach out to so many people," Cyrus tells PEOPLE, adding, "I couldn't do it alone. We have an amazing cast that is so supportive, including my dad who has been there for me every step of the way."
Over the weekend reports circulated that Cyrus, 15, and her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, have been causing drama on the Disney Channel set by coming to work late and openly talking about wanting to get fired. There were also rumors of a rift between Miley and her costar Emily Osment.
A Disney Channel rep calls talk of on-set squabbles "just gossip," while a source close to Miley Cyrus says: "It's a lot of craziness."
