A clip of Britney Spears's highly-anticipated second appearance on CBS's How I Met Your Mother has been released.

In this snippet, via Entertainment Tonight, the pop star's ditzy character, Abby, is dating Barney (Neil Patrick Harris’s character) – yet she still longs for Ted, played by Josh Radnor.

The episode is scheduled to air May 12. Spears first appeared on the show in March, debuting her role as a receptionist at a dermatologist's office.

Her first guest spot earned the singer positive reviews and brought in the show’s highest ratings yet.

Britney Spears completed two days of filming on TV's How I Met Your Mother, receiving praise from the sitcom's cast for her attitude and comic skills.

"There was not an ounce of the dark side that we've all read so much about," star Neil Patrick Harris, 34, said Thursday night at a West Hollywood party for the show.

In the episode, which will air March 24, Spears plays a receptionist at a dermatologist's office, and she falls for one of the show's main characters, played by Josh Radnor.

Spears, 26, shot her scenes Wednesday and Thursday.

Neil Patrick Harris was pleasantly surprised by Britney Spears at the table reading for an episode of How I Met Your Mother on Tuesday.

"She has a good sense of comedy, and has interesting choices," he tells PEOPLE. "It wasn't like she has just been told to stand up there and deliver those lines. I was really surprised by that. She's really funny!"

Harris, who will be on set Thursday filming with the pop star, added, "She seems to be doing very well … No strange accents. She seemed comfortable."
