Summer means two things for most Americans: A family trip and a lack of decent TV. However, if you're currently stuck at home, wishing you could find something better to watch, we've got an easy, free solution. You can just ride along with your favorite sitcom of choice!
Remember when sitcoms regularly had group vacations, played out over a series of episodes or even over two-hour movie events?
Sure, Modern Family still does an "away" adventure about once per season, but there was a time when a vacation episode was a full-fledged TV event. Shows you loved would ditch the multi-camera set-up and studio lighting for foreign locales and – gasp! – outside scenes that were actually filmed outside.
Some of these TV adventures happen to be viewable online, and we've collected all the ones we could find.

We all love Lucy, but when it comes to Emmy nominations, Julia Louis-Dreyfus finally has the iconic comedienne beat.
On Thursday, the erstwhile Seinfeld star made Emmy history when she received her 14th Emmy nomination in the category of outstanding lead actress in a comedy series, surpassing the record long-held by I Love Lucy star – and enduring TV favorite – Lucille Ball.
Louis-Dreyfus, 52, nabbed the nod for her role as gaffe-prone Vice President Selina Meyer on the HBO show Veep. It's her second nomination in this category for her fictitious beltway role, and she took home the statue in 2012.

Doris Singleton, a character actress and comedian best known as Lucy and Ricky Ricardo’s neighbor – and Lucy's frequent frenemy – Carolyn Appleby on I Love Lucy, has died, Lucie Arnaz, the daughter of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, confirmed.
"A day of saying hasta luego to two great ladies, Nora Ephron and Doris Singleton," Arnaz wrote on her Facebook page. "May they both fly swiftly heavenward and enjoy a blissful rest for jobs well done down here. They were loved and appreciated and will be missed."
Singleton was 92 and died Tuesday in Los Angeles, reports Variety.
