Laverne & Shirley Together Again – 30 Years Later

They're getting back together – for the kids.

Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams, who teamed up as Laverne and Shirley on the classic, eponymous sitcom from 1976 to 1983, are reuniting for a guest appearance on a teen sitcom. It will be the first time they've acted together in 30 years.

Marshall, 69, and Williams, 65, will appear on Nickelodeon's Sam & Cat, playing the creators of a '70s TV show who haven't spoken in 30 years.

If I were on a desert island with Jersey Shore's Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, I would swim away into shark-infested waters. But Snooki? I would ignore passing ships. Maybe she would ask why the ocean has so much water. What an adorably dumb question! Maybe she would compare herself to that Gilligan Crusoe dude. I would smile indulgently and spear a fish for her supper. All Snooki moments are magical.

Snooki is the star, along with Jersey Shore colleague JWOWW, of the unimaginatively titled side project Snooki & JWOWW, premiering Thursday (10 p.m. ET) on MTV. Filmed during her current pregnancy and engagement to Jionni LaValle, the show allows Snooki to say of her unexpected journey to motherhood: "Instead of life throwing me a curve ball, it threw me a sperm ball."

Michael McKean Mowed Down on New York Sidewalk

Michael McKean, the smiling redhead best known for playing Lenny in the '70s sitcom Laverne and Shirley and for his appearances in the satirical mockumentaries This Is Spinal Tap, Best in Show and A Mighty Wind, is in stable condition after being hit by a car on an Upper West Side Manhattan sidewalk Tuesday afternoon.

McKean, 64, was being treated at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital for a broken leg and facial lacerations. "Hopefully, he'll be fine," his manager, Harriet Sternberg, told the New York Post.
