Globe Nominee Sofia Vergara: You Can't Control Wardrobe Malfunctions
Originally posted 01/13/2013 01:00PM
There's no such thing as foolproof fashion for Sofia Vergara.
Following a serious wardrobe malfunction that left the Modern Family star exposed at the Emmys last year, you might expect her to come up with a way to avoid a similar situation at Sunday's Golden Globes. Well, you'd be wrong.
"It's very easy [for a dress to rip] because you get out of the car, you go up, you try to go to the restroom. When you're on the red carpet, a lot of people step on your dress and pull it," Vergara, 40, told PEOPLE Friday. "After awhile, that's what causes the stitches to get loose because usually you have those long gowns. You can never really control it, but you just hope for the best."

Come Sunday, Eric Stonestreet may take home a Golden Globe Award for his portrayal of doting dad Cameron Tucker on ABC's Modern Family.
But there's a special somebody who doesn't seem to be rooting for a big win: Stonestreet's dog, Coleman Hawkins, who the actor says doesn't get caught up in the spirit of red carpet season.
Amped up for all the glitz and the glamour? "No, nothing like that," Stonestreet, 41, told PEOPLE at a pre-Globes party in L.A.

Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts, Kate Bosworth & Fiancé Have Date Night in West Hollywood
Originally posted 01/08/2013 06:00AM
Cecconi's in West Hollywood was the site of a celebrity date night as Audi kicked off Golden Globes week with a star-studded bash on Sunday.
Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts arrived holding hands and spent the evening cozied up in one corner of the restaurant's covered patio, an onlooker tells PEOPLE.
With Schreiber sipping on a glass of red wine with one arm draped adoringly around the beaming Watts's waist, the duo couldn't look any more in love.
The couple later caught up with actress Kate Bosworth and her fiancé, director Michael Polish, with Schreiber only breaking away to cross the crowded room and greet a late-arriving, Connie Britton, who was resplendent in an off-the-shoulder floor-length red gown.

Ariel Winter, 14, will remain in the care of her adult sister, Shanelle Gray, for now, a judge ruled Tuesday in the family's bitter fight over the Modern Family actress.
A Department of Children and Family Services report to the court found evidence of emotional abuse by Ariel's mother, Chrisoula Workman, but that Ariel's allegations of physical abuse were "unsubstantiated."
The report also recommended that Gray be awarded permanent guardianship. A trial date will be set to settle that question.

Those are among the issues facing a judge who'll decide as early as Nov. 20 who will raise the 14-year-old Modern Family star: her mother Chrisoula Workman or her 34-year-old sister Shanelle Gray.
The long-brewing family drama exploded at an Oct. 3 emergency guardianship hearing, where mother and daughter traded incendiary allegations, according to a newly released court transcript that contains previously unreported claims.

"It's all untrue, it's all untrue," Chris Workman tells PEOPLE.
According to court papers filed Oct. 3 in Los Angeles, Winter – who plays Alex Dunphy on the hit show – alleges her mother subjected her to "ongoing physical abuse (slapping, hitting, pushing) and emotional abuse (vile name-calling, personal insults about minor and minor's weight, attempts to 'sexualize' minor, deprivation of food, etc.) for an extended period of time."
