Talk about a perfect birthday.
Country star Brantley Gilbert received the best gift ever in the form of an enthusiastic "Yes!" when girlfriend, One Tree Hill actress and country singer Jana Kramer, accepted his proposal of marriage in Nashville on Sunday, his 28th birthday.
"We could not be happier!" the couple tell PEOPLE exclusively in a statement from their rep. "We are so excited to share this special time with our loved ones and cannot wait to start the rest of our lives together."

One Tree Hill: Chad Michael Murray Will Return

There will be a familiar face back in One Tree Hill for the show's final season.
Chad Michael Murray, who left the series in 2009, will reprise his role as Lucas Scott in a guest appearance.
"The secrets out;) Im excited 2 say that 'Luke' will b reuniting with the amazing OTH cast, Producers & Crew 4 an ep! This is 4 u great fans," the actor Tweeted on Monday.
Lucas, who left Tree Hill with his bride Peyton (played by Hilarie Burton) and their daughter in the show's sixth season, will return after his friend Haley (played by Bethany Joy Galeotti) reaches out to him for help.

Jana Kramer Makes Her Country Music Debut

She may have a full time gig as Alex on the CW's One Tree Hill but Jana Kramer has musical aspirations.
And fans of the CW show got their first taste of her burgeoning country music career on Tuesday's episode when the 27-year-old actress debuted her first single, "I Won't Give Up," after signing a deal with Warner Music Nashville.
"'I Won't Give Up' is about never giving up on the ones you love," Kramer tells local news site Examiner.com.
Kramer, who split from Johnathon Schaech in Aug. 2010 after just one month of marriage, says her music is all about celebrating her independence and finding her own voice.
"I wrote this song because I know what it's like to be dependent on someone," she says, "then have to learn to stand on my own again."

One Tree Hill's James Lafferty Cancels Charity Hoops Event

Fans of One Tree Hill know one of the best places to rub shoulders with the cast is at the annual charity basketball game organized by its hoops-obsessed star, James Lafferty.
But not this year.
In a statement posted on OTHfans.com, Lafferty – who has hosted the game in Wilmington, N.C., for the past five years – says problems with fans have gotten in the way of the fun.
"As a result of constant harassment and gross invasions of privacy via e-mail and telephone, targeting myself, my friends and even my family, I no longer feel comfortable holding a fundraiser in such an intimate setting with fans," he wrote in the statement."
