Saturday night was a pretty good night to be in Studio 6H, to put it mildly.

She's a new mom – so it was fitting that during Savannah Guthrie's first appearance back on the Today Show she was sporting some mom jeans.
Though she isn't expected back full time until next Monday, she joined former host Meredith Vieira and special correspondent Jenna Bush Hager in an hilarious SNL-style skit for mom jeans for Halloween.
When the video ended, the show cut to Rockefeller Plaza, where a van pulled up and Guthrie and her fellow "moms" popped out.

Given that Jim Carrey's roots lie in sketch comedy and stand-up, we expected big things out of his appearance on Saturday Night Live on Oct. 25.

Saturday Night Live just added a new face to the cast of its 40th season.
Leslie Jones is the latest lady to join the show as a full-fledged cast member after becoming a writer earlier this year.
Jones first auditioned for the coveted spot last fall as one of twelve finalists, but the role was ultimately offered to Sasheer Zamata.

Jan Hooks, who was best known as a cast member on Saturday Night Live, has died at the age of 57.
The actress and comedian, who also starred in Designing Women, passed away on Thursday, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
Hooks joined the cast of SNL in 1986, where she worked alongside Dana Carvey and Phil Hartman. She did impressions of people including Sinéad O'Connor, Kathie Lee Gifford and Hillary Clinton, and was one half of the Sweeney Sisters with Nora Dunn.
She left the show in 1991 to replace Jean Smart on Designing Women and was nominated for an Emmy for playing Vicki Dubcek on 3rd Rock from the Sun. She also memorably played a tour guide at the Alamo in Pee-wee's Big Adventure.
