Louis C.K.'s Saturday Night Live hosting stint played to his strengths while also allowing the comic to branch out.
C.K. was most at home during the opening monologue, which he treated as a block of stand-up time: He discussed the difference between "first-world hunger" and "third-world hunger," ("If you've eaten today, you're not hungry. I'm hungry for a donut but I'm not hungry,") women's suffrage, ("Women got the right to vote in this country in 1920. That means American democracy is 94 years old. There are three guys in my building who are older than American democracy,") and – as usual – parenting. ("There is no more joyful experience in a parent's life than when a child's play is over.")

5. Lena Dunham Strips Down for SNLIt's no Brooklyn warehouse party, but we have a feeling Hannah Horvath would approve of Dunham's Saturday night all the same. Saturday Night Live gained a new viewer for its first show back after the Olympics – Seth Meyers.
"I ended up staying up and watching all of SNL," the former head writer and host of Weekend Update told PEOPLE at Equinox during the annual Cycle for Survival event on Sunday morning.
"I loved it. It was really fun for me to have that excitement that a viewer has of not knowing what's coming up next. I felt a lot like a regular person, but a proud regular person."
Meyers, 40, has big shoes to fill with his new gig hosting Late Night, but says he isn't pondering the precedent his predecessors have set.

When it came to prepping for his debut as host of Late Night this week, Seth Meyers admitted to having the jitters. "I'm nervous! But I've always found that butterflies are helpful," the former Saturday Night Live cast member and "Weekend Update" host told PEOPLE in a pre-premiere interview.
On Monday night, Meyers, 40, took over from Jimmy Fallon, whose Tonight Show made an impressive debut on Feb. 17.
While he's now got a few shows under his belt, Meyers says, "More than anything I'm looking forward to March 20, when I've had about three or four weeks, so I can really get a sense of what it's like."

She's a New York native – and she's about to make her "live from New York" debut.
Lena Dunham will host Saturday Night Live for the first time on March 8, Variety reports.
"Thank you for the SNL love," Dunham Tweeted Tuesday. "Can't wait to debut my character 'girl who googled serial killers all night & has lots to say!' "
No word yet on whether Dunham, 27, will lampoon Girls on the long-running sketch-comedy program. But if she does, it wouldn't be the first time SNL has poked fun at Dunham's hit HBO show, which follows the lives of four young New York women trying to find their place in the world.
