With Michelle Obama traveling to China with her daughters, President Barack Obama is fending for himself in the White House.
Fortunately, the commander-in-chief has a concerned friend eager to check up on him: Ellen DeGeneres, who quizzed the POTUS on his well-being at the First Lady's behest.
"Mr. President, Michelle said she's out of town, and she wanted to know, did you make your bed this morning?" DeGeneres asked via satellite on Thursday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Opposites attract. Just ask Hayden Panettiere.
"I'm small, but he's large," the 5'2" Nashville star said on Wednesday's Ellen DeGeneres Show about her 6'6" fiancé, heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko.

To host or not to host, that is the question.
Ellen DeGeneres admits she had difficulty deciding whether to host the Academy Awards for a second time. Although her performance in 2007 received positive reviews and even earned her a Primetime Emmy nomination, the TV star just wasn't sure if she wanted to do a repeat performance.
So like many people faced with a big decision, she made a pros-and-cons list.
In an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing Wednesday, she shares it with her studio audience (after pulling it out of her sock), saying, "I thought I would take you on a journey inside my mind, which is scary. Hold on."

Bethenny Frankel documented her marriage to Jason Hoppy on television – and now she's opening up about her divorce on television, too.
"I can't just only be on reality TV and show everything when it's fairy princess, fairytale, and then not take my hits when I have to," she says on Wednesday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "Just going through something personal you have so many different emotions, and I feel like a bit of a disappointment to all of you. And, I feel like a failure."
"You are not a disappointment. You are not a failure," DeGeneres says.
