Teresa Giudice Hits Back at Costars: I Thought You Were My Friends

Originally posted 10/04/2011 03:45PM

Teresa Giudice thought she had allies on the Real Housewives of New Jersey. But all that changed this week.

"The whole time we were filming [season 3], I had no idea what other people were saying about me," Giudice, 39, writes in her latest blog for BravoTV.com. "I just assumed they were all my friends."

Though she specifically refers to "the other ladies having a go at me" on the show, Giudice may as well have been addressing costar Jacqueline Laurita, who earlier this week vented about Giudice on Twitter.

Among her Twitter claims: that Giudice told everyone her sister-in-law, and fellow Jersey housewife, Melissa Gorga, once worked as a stripper. (Gorga subsequently denied that in a blog of her own.)

Real Housewives' Jacqueline Laurita: 'Teresa Is Scum'

In true late-season Real Housewives fashion, the gloves have come off.

As the third season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey winds down – amid word that Jacqueline Laurita quit the show and did not attend the finale taping – two previously friendly cast mates are now coming to blows.

Verbal blows, that is. When rumors surfaced that Melissa Gorga once worked as a stripper, Jacqueline began implying on her Twitter that Melissa's sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, was behind the buzz.

The Real Housewives of New York City are already down four cast members for the upcoming season, and now one of their New Jersey counterparts is on her way out the door.

"Jacqueline [Laurita] definitely quit," a source tells PEOPLE. "She had to walk away for her sanity."

In a series of Tweets earlier this week, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star hinted that she's done with the show, and even said she did not want to appear on the show's season 3 reunion, which taped on Wednesday.

"I feel nauseous and feverish," Laurita Tweeted late Tuesday night, after attending the annual fashion show for the boutique Posche, a scene of past drama on the hit Bravo show. (Cameras, meanwhile, were there and already rolling on season 4.) "No reunion for me. Sorry guys. XOXO!"

Teresa Giudice Feels 'Vindicated' Now That She Can Pay Her Debts: Attorney

Originally posted 09/21/2011 02:35PM

When Teresa and Joe Giudice first filed for bankruptcy in 2009, listing a staggering $11 million in debt, their obstacles seemed insurmountable.

But now, an attorney for the Real Housewives of New Jersey star says she feels "vindicated" to be voluntarily paying her remaining debts rather than have them discharged in bankruptcy court. (They will move to settle the case later this week.)

"Teresa and Joe are happy about this," Teresa's bankruptcy attorney Jim Kridel tells PEOPLE. "Teresa has always wanted to be able to say that she paid her creditors."

Andy Cohen Receives Seven Figures for Memoir

Originally posted 08/09/2011 09:20AM

Bravo host and behind-the-scenes executive Andy Cohen has signed a "low seven-figure" deal for his forthcoming memoir, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Cohen, 43, the network's executive vice president and host of Watch What Happens: Live says of the book: "It'll be a memoir, of sorts, about my intersections with pop culture over the years, from growing up in front of the TV as a kid in St. Louis to my years at CBS News, all the way up to today. The stories I've been saving up are funny and improbable and really define who I am today."

The book, due next summer from the New York publisher Henry Holt, so far has no title, and Cohen is asking for suggestions.

Dina Manzo on Why Teresa Giudice & Melissa Gorga Just Can't Get Along

Originally posted 06/27/2011 04:00PM

Former The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dina Manzo has a theory about Teresa Giudice's rocky relationship with fellow housewife and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga. Their rivalry, she says, is actually a result of love.

"It all stems from the love of a brother and sister," she told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live Sunday night. "So they need to step back and all realize that [the drama is] a lot of BS."

Manzo, 39, says Giudice's brother Joe, Gorga's husband, "admires" his sister – but that high regard backfires, as it did at the christening ceremony of the couple's son.

Teresa Giudice 'Assaulted' in Bar Brawl, Says Attorney

Originally posted 06/15/2011 03:45PM

Teresa Giudice and her Real Housewives of New Jersey costars have been accused of starting a bar brawl in court documents filed Monday. But an attorney for the reality star says the Feb. 23 incident in the Dominican Republic was an act of self-defense.

Adolfo Arreola and Jason Gomez claim in court papers that Teresa sprayed their party with champagne, then mocked Arreola's mother-in-law when the drink got in her eyes. They also allege that Joe Giudice and Albert, Chris and Albie Manzo attacked them "without provocation."

But an attorney for the Giudices tells a different story.

What began with a champagne toast ended in a bar room brawl for the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast – and now they're facing a lawsuit.

In papers filed in New York State Supreme Court, Adolfo Arreola and Jason Gomez allege that a group of Real Housewives cast members beat them up after Teresa Giudice popped a bottle of champagne all over their party while in the Dominican Republic on Feb. 23.

Although the lawsuit claims the champagne "caused severe eye irritation" for Arreola's mother-in-law, Teresa allegedly "laughed at, mocked, humiliated, insulted and physically approached" the offended party, according to the papers.
