The Real Housewives of New York City celebrated the Fourth of July on Tuesday night's episode, and – of course – there were plenty of fireworks.
The biggest sparks, however, turned out to be the biggest surprise, as BFFs Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan got into a heated exchange at a Hamptons holiday party Singer hosted.
After the two had earlier discussed Morgan's Chapter 11 bankruptcy and her mounting concerns she might lose her home, the talk turned tense while testing Singer's newest wine.

Is Ramonja no more?
Hold the Pinot Grigio: A sneak peek at the next Real Housewives of New York City suggests best buddies Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan are on the outs.
Singer, 56, missed Morgan's "cabaret-meets-soft burlesque" show a few episodes back while vacationing with her daughter in South Africa. Once Singer returned, she apparently unfurled less-than-flattering comments about Morgan's performance – and the toaster-oven entrepreneur isn't putting up with her friend's criticism.

Ramona, the "Lion Queen"?
Ramona Singer returned to The Real Housewives of New York City after taking her daughter to South Africa as a high school graduation gift – and she was ready to rule over the pack.
"Now that Ramona's back from vacation, she's the Dalai Lama," joked Sonja Morgan.
"I return from vacation, and they're acting like lions," Singer said of the feud between Aviva Drescher and Heather Thomson that began over Bookgate. "I want to resolve this. I want to be peacemaker."

Sonja Morgan tried to take The Real Housewives of New York City back to the days of The Great Gatsby with her "caburlesque" show Tuesday night, but it ended up more akin to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
"It's not Moulin Rouge, it's not Dita Von Teese, but it is Sonja Morgan," Carole Radziwill, 50, said, aptly summing up the "cabaret meets soft burlesque" show Morgan hosted for the LGBT center in the Hamptons.
"It's obvious I love my gays," explained Morgan, 50. "I have my own way of moving … very Liza Minnelli … I'm gonna bring the sexy, and I'm gonna improvise."

It has not been the easiest of times for Bethenny Frankel, between her ongoing bitter divorce battle and the recent cancelation of her talk show. But, Frankel says, she is now beginning to feel "a little liberation."
"I am dating, and I am happy," Frankel, 43, told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live Tuesday night. "I'm good. I feel a little liberation, a little bit of freedom, just a little bit of not feeling so bad. It's been a really, really hard time."

The second chapter in the ghostwriting fight between Carole Radziwill and Aviva Drescher on Tuesday's The Real Housewives of New York City was filled with choice words, while Sonja Morgan's new intern orientation manual needs a major rewrite.
After spreading the rumor that Radziwill had used a ghostwriter to pen her best-selling memoir, What Remains, the "bookgate" fight between the two escalated at Drescher's housewarming party.
"You're so pompous and so elitist," said Drescher, 43.
"I don't talk about your parenting, don't talk about my career," snapped Radziwill, 50.

This is one story that won't have a happy ending.
On Tuesday's The Real Housewives of New York City, "BookGate" erupted as Carole Radziwill and Aviva Drescher exchanged heated words about writing their memoirs.
What started off as an innocent lunch – with Drescher asking Radziwill to share some writing advice with her as she completed her first book – turned into a mystery when Drescher seemed to imply that Radziwill had used a ghostwriter to pen her own bestselling memoir, What Remains.
"Is she insinuating I hired a ghostwriter to write my first book?" Radziwill wondered as the uncomfortable lunch progressed. "That's awkward and awful."

What better way to celebrate the season 6 premiere of
The Real Housewives of New York City than to watch Pinot Princess Ramona Singer go shot for shot with sworn enemy Aviva Drescher?
"Wanna do a shot of tequila?" Drescher asked, after having begged Singer to meet her in order to reconcile.
"Is this your first shot?" Singer, 57, replied.
"I feel like I’m losing my virginity," Drescher laughed, adding, "Not that bad … I've swallowed much worse."

When The Real Housewives of New York City returns March 11, viewers won't get a glimpse of Ramona Singer's marital split.
"You'll see Mario and I together," Singer, 56, tells former costar Bethenny Frankel on an episode of her talk show, Bethenny, airing Tuesday. "Right now, I'm going through some adversity, but through adversity you become stronger."
