The hottest topic on Wednesday's live episode of The View was its co-host Sherri Shepherd's shocking elimination on Tuesday night's Dancing with the Stars.
Wiping away tears that started flowing long into the standing ovation from the studio audience and their shouts of "Sherri! Sherri!," Shepherd listened as View moderator Whoopi Goldberg said, "You know, we are not happy ... she was robbed."
Shepherd explained that the waterworks were "not a temper tantrum, [but] really tears of joy. I wanted to do this for so long, and to be taken off the ride so soon, it really was devastating."

Star Jones returned to The View Wednesday – her first visit to the ABC talk show since her much talked-about departure in June 2006.
"It was ugly. Everything. It was a bad emotional time. Nasty things were being said in the media," Jones said after her former boss, Barbara Walters, insisted on discussing her exit, when the host abruptly announced she was leaving on the air, then revealed she had been fired by the show.
"I wanted to go out on my own terms so that if I walked back here I'd feel good about it," Jones continued. "I had eight fantastic years here. One was 'eh.' I came back to congratulate you on all you accomplished. I hope you congratulate me on what I accomplished."

It started out like a typical episode of The View on Wednesday: co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Joy Behar ribbed their guests with tough – but playful – questions. But backstage after the show, a major drama played out.
When Michaele Salahi and her Real Housewives of D.C. castmates – Mary Schmidt Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Catherine Ommanney and Stacie Scott Turner – appeared on the ABC talk show, the newly-minted reality star was rattled after she said Whoopi Goldberg, who was offstage for the segment, walked on the set, touched her arm and tried to refocus her on the topic at hand: her alleged crashing of the White House state dinner last November.
Though the encounter occupied no more than several seconds of airtime, offstage, an ugly scene reportedly happened when Salahi and her husband Tareq complained to producers about what she tells PEOPLE was a "humiliating and torturous" experience at the hands of Goldberg – and her View co-hosts.

Just call it Snookigate.
He may have told Joy Behar and all her View co-hosts Thursday that he'd never heard of Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi – but President Obama has, in fact, used the buxom brunette as a punchline before.
Recall in May, at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner in D.C., when he made a crack at the expense of the rather tan House minority leader, John Boehner. While talking about his health care bill, President Obama joked about a tanning tax, and said, "the following individuals shall be excluded from the indoor tanning tax within this bill: Snooki, JWOWW, The Situation and House minority leader John Boehner."

Between fielding questions about the economy, Afghanistan, and racial tensions in the U.S., President Barack Obama got down to the important stuff on The View Thursday: the alleged rants of Mel Gibson, the jail term of Lindsay Lohan and Jersey Shore's Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi – and the burning question of should she run for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.
Quizzed by Joy Behar in a "lightening" round, Obama was asked if he knew if Lohan is in jail. "I actually know that, yes," the President responded.
But Snooki stumped him. "Should Snooki run as mayor of Wasilla?" Behar asked. Obama, laughing, responded, "I gotta admit, I don't know who Snooki is."
