The hair-and-makeup crew had their hands extra full on the set of Will & Grace last month. Shooting the show’s final episode after eight irreverent years did a number on the entire cast.

Janet Jackson Meets Will & Grace

CAST: In her first TV acting appearance in two decades, Janet Jackson will play herself on an episode of Will & Grace set to tape Tuesday and air Sept. 23, NBC announced. Series regular Sean Hayes (Jack) will play one of her backup dancers. … In related news, the National Football League, which was stung by Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" at this year's Super Bowl, announced Monday that it has assumed complete control of all entertainment related to its games. MTV had produced the halftime show at which Jackson's breast was bared.

OPPOSED: John Kennedy Jr. was said to be "upset" when Hillary Rodham Clinton announced she was running for the office of Democratic U.S. Senator from New York, a job that he wanted, according to author Laurence Leamer's new book, "Sons of Camelot." But the New York Post quotes Leamer as saying that Kennedy (who was killed in a 1999 plane crash) put his political ambitions on hold for Clinton because he was a gentleman.

Grace Adler's knight in shining armor turns out to be Harry Connick Jr., who's joining the NBC sitcom, as is Jack's adored Kevin Bacon.
