Miley Cyrus: Twilight Bites

As the alter ego of the fictional Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus is no stranger to pop trends and scarcely believable transformations. But when it comes to vampires, werewolves and Twilight, she's giving them a big thumbs down.

"I've never seen it and nor will I ever," Cyrus, 16, tells Ohio radio station Q92 about the movie event that has infected the country.

"I don't believe in it," she continues. "I don't like vampires. I don't like the wolf that pops out of the screen when I'm watching my TV at night. I don't like it. I don't want anything to do with it. I don't like the shirts. I don't like any of it."

In the magazine, on newsstands Nov. 17, the actress calls Pattinson "a great singer. Heartbreaking," while the British-born actor says of his costar, "She's a unique girl. You really don't meet many people like Kristen."

Ashley Greene: New Moon Is a Heartbreaker

Originally posted 11/01/2009 08:30AM

Giving their vampire and werewolf costumes a break, New Moon stars Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz headed to Nevada Saturday to celebrate Halloween and host the Yelloween party at Tao Las Vegas.

Lutz, dressed as Batman's sidekick Robin, and Greene, plumed up as a peacock, hit the red carpet as hundreds of Twilight Saga fans gathered to get a glimpse of them, while the two actors skillfully ducked any question that didn't pertain to their upcoming movie. New Moon opens Nov. 20.

Following a dinner of Asian cuisine with about 20 friends, Lutz, 24, and Greene, 22, headed to a VIP skybox at Tao that overlooks the club. Sipping on Veuve Clicquot Champagne, the sponsor of the night, the two didn't seem to notice the hundreds of people vying for their attention – though, apparently in the party spirit, at one point Lutz grabbed the microphone and told the club, "Let's do a massive amount of shots."

New Moon Director Wants to Make Fans Cry

Originally posted 10/27/2009 03:25PM

With New Moon ready to rise in theaters Nov. 20, director Chris Weitz wants it known: He is going to try to make you cry.

"We've tried our best to deliver on the romantic scenes in the film, and I would like to be able to produce more tears than any movie before, if possible," Weitz told PEOPLE at the Hollywood Film Festival's Hollywood Awards Monday of capturing moments in the Twilight saga's love triangle. "If we could only weigh them with some kind of cubic tear measure!"

Weitz, who took over the directing reigns from Catherine Hardwicke, admits delivering the passion, thrills and heartache in the hotly anticipated sequel wasn't easily done.

"I've handled it very badly, because I'm extremely envious of Rob [Pattinson] and Taylor [Lautner]," he said laughing. "What I've realized is that they have a very tough job – not just playing the characters that they play, but living lives that are now very much under scrutiny all the time."

"My motivation was the movie and the fans," MTV.com quotes him as telling Aceshowbiz.com about packing on 30 lbs. of muscle. "But I don't want to become known as just a body."

He added: "If I had to choose, I would never take my shirt off again in a movie, but I guess that's not very realistic. I certainly won't be asking to do it, though."

For Interview's 40th anniversary, cover girl Kristen Stewart was interviewed by celebrated actor Dennis Hopper – who accepted the assignment with a bit of an ulterior motive.

"My daughter is your biggest fan, so I thought, 'What the hell?' " the actor joked when Stewart admiringly asked why he agreed to conduct the Q&A. The daughter made out too: The Twilight star happily obliged to speak to Hopper's 6-year-old daughter, Galen.

Fan encounters have become old hat for the 19-year-old star, who is readying for the launch of another press tour to promote the release of Twilight sequel New Moon, out Nov. 20.

"I feel so boring because Twilight is literally how every conversation I have these days begins," she tells Hopper.

And with the pandemonium surrounding the franchise showing no signs of slowing down, Stewart understands the media attention is here to stay.
