It's rare to see Cee Lo Green without cat Purrfect at his side, having recently appeared together on the cover of Fast Company and the second season of The Voice.
The reality judge wouldn't have it any other way.
NBC Promises End-of-World Drama, More Spinning Chairs at Upfronts
Originally posted 05/14/2012 04:00PM
The annual TV upfronts have started in Manhattan, with the networks announcing their fall lineups and tossing sardine-size video clips into the open mouths of assembled advertisers and media people.
The big news out of NBCs presentation Monday is that The Voice, the network's standout hit, will be making more use of those wonderful swivel chairs. Yes, America, you will get to see more of Christina Aguilera swiveling, and you will be glad of it.
As to the actual new lineup ... well, NBC has had its problems with programming. Even the mightily promoted Smash, after a heavenly opening, sputtered. Its star, Katharine McPhee, was brought out not once but twice to perform at the upfront, but her show won't be back until midseason.

Jermaine Paul 'Shocked' over Winning The Voice
Originally posted 05/09/2012 11:40AM
Just before host Carson Daly announced Tuesday night that Team Blake's Jermaine Paul was the winner of this season's The Voice on NBC, Paul tells PEOPLE that he "couldn't look at anybody and allow myself not to believe. In that moment I prayed."
Despite Monday night's phenomenal final performance, when he sang R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly," Paul says his confidence was low going into the finale.
"I didn't feel good about the overall outcome," he says. "I didn't know if I was going to win or not."

But only one can be named The Voice and be signed to Universal Republic Records. Keep reading to find out the winner ...

Tony Lucca & Christina Aguilera Clash Over B-Word on The Voice
Originally posted 05/08/2012 11:00AM
When Tony Lucca sang "I got 99 problems but a b–– ain't one" while covering Jay-Z's "99 Problems" during his final competitive performance on The Voice Monday night, did Christina Aguilera believe he was directing the line at her?
"I thought it was a little derogatory toward women," she told Lucca during her critique.
Sure, the song choice had been that of Lucca's coach Adam Levine, but Lucca fully supported the suggestion.
"I'm not going to let one person bring me down," he told PEOPLE after the show. "Clearly that seems like part of her strategy."

Just four competitors remain on NBC's The Voice – and after Monday, it will be up to the audience to determine which one will be crowned the winner.

The Choice: Will You Watch Fox's New Dating Show?
Originally posted 05/03/2012 10:50AM
Imitation may be a form of flattery. Still, NBC might not be too flattered by Fox's new dating show.
The latter network has begun promoting an upcoming reality competition called The Choice, modeled quite blatantly on NBC's The Voice – but with romance instead of singing as the focus.
"Four celebrities ... blind auditions ... spinning chairs ... but ... it's not what you think," said a promo (above) that aired Wednesday during American Idol.
The format, in which people question and choose their dates without being able to see them, recalls The Dating Game, which began in the 1960s. The difference here is that celebrities will be the bachelors and bachelorettes doing the questioning.
