Though she plays the upper-crust aristocrat on Downton Abbey, in real life, Elizabeth McGovern spends her free time jamming with her folk/country band, Sadie and the Hotheads, and can be heard singing on the upcoming – wait for it – Christmas at Downton Abbey album, out Nov. 17. So what exactly does a Downton Abbey Christmas album sound like?
"It's just a really nice collection of Christmas songs done in a classical way, with the Budapest City orchestra and a beautiful choir," McGovern tells PEOPLE. And cast members singing! McGovern does a solo version of "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear," as well as a duet of "The First Noel" with fellow Downton cast mate Julian Ovenden who plays Charles Blake, one of Lady Mary's two new suitors. (Ovenden, a professional singer, has several other solo songs on the album.) Jim Carter, who plays Carson, does a spoken-word version of " 'Twas the Night Before Christmas."

Bill Murray belting out Christmas carols? Who wouldn't like the sound of that!
The actor is teaming up with his Lost in Translation director Sofia Coppola for an upcoming Christmas TV special where he'll put his vocal talent to work.
In a new interview with Variety, Murray shared details about this holiday project.
"It will have a patina style and wit to it," he says, adding, "It will be nice, it's not going to be live. We're going to do it like a little movie. It won't have a format, but it's going to have music and texture. It will have threads through it that are writing. There will be prose."

After the horrible winter most of America suffered through in 2014, summer couldn't come soon enough. But like a rude party guest, shortly after summer arrived it began announcing its imminent departure.

It's rough coming down from a holiday high, and apparently not just for humans.
Nicole Richie shared a photo of her dog Ero on Thursday sporting a "Christmas Hangover," she wrote on Instagram. The forlorn-looking pooch lies on the ground with his head down, but isn't ready to take off the reindeer antlers just yet.
While we can definitely sympathize with the furry guy, we have good news for Richie's German shepherd: New Year's is right around the corner! And we bet the stylish star has just the perfect party hat to replace those antlers with.

Baby North got some nice Christmas presents this year, but mom Kim Kardashian received a very special gift as well.
Kanye West didn't just get Kardashian a regular old Hermes Birkin handbag for Christmas. He turned it into a work of art by having famed painter and sometime collaborator George Condo hand-paint it with nude bodies – one with a demon's face.
It certainly is one of a kind. A risky gift for one's fiancée? Perhaps, but Kardashian, 33, seemed happy to receive it – proud enough to post it on Instagram, anyway.
Fans were divided on the present, though, with many finding the painting disturbing.

Celebrating the holidays for the first time as a couple can be a stressful situation – a bad gift or the wrong word spoken to a family member can be a passion killer.
Luckily for Kaley Cuoco and her fiancé, Ryan Sweeting, their first Christmas together was just perfect.
The Big Bang Theory star posted a pic on Instagram that shows her looking a little surprised that things went so smoothly. "1st Christmas together!" she wrote. "Killed it!"
