Instead of letting it get stale in the cupboard – or worse, eating it all yourself – make it vanish in sweet treats

You may be channeling your favorite celebrity for Halloween this year – but who's your favorite celeb dressing up as?
Hollywood's most coveted trick-or-treaters took to Instagram to share their costumes, which ranged from LOL to ooh-la-la (we're looking at you, Naya Rivera, who put a leggy spin on her Carmen Sandiego get-up).
From Miley Cyrus to Nicole Richie, see who else dressed up for the occasion.

On the other 364 days of the year, we embrace the fact that it's our cats' world, and we just live in it (re: supply the snacks and/or companionship when desired).

Julianne Hough has apologized for dressing up in blackface at a Halloween party Friday night.
The 25-year-old triggered controversy after she showed up at the Beverly Hills bash as "Crazy Eyes," a character played by Uzo Aduba in the hit Netflix drama Orange Is the New Black.
Hough covered her face in dark makeup, styled her hair like the character's knotted 'do and wore an orange jumpsuit and prison ID splashed with the words "Crazy Eyes."

It's a phenomenon we can't quite explain, but seems to still be going strong: pets behaving like Miley Cyrus.
And the latest entrant into that elite group is Tottie the pug – albeit with a twist. Instead of dressing as the "We Can't Stop" singer herself, Tottie is dressed as her most famous accessory of late: her wrecking ball. Playing the part of Cyrus in this scenario? A nude Barbie doll.

Halloween's inching closer, but the scariest thing that happened this weekend has more to do with our new-found appreciation for golf than Sandra Bullock's costume.
Here's what you missed if you were too busy perfecting your own bad-to-the-bone ensemble (which we hope is a Miley onesie):

Skeletons have never looked so cute!
Sandra Bullock and her son, Louis, dressed up for a Halloween party on Saturday in L.A. and although the Oscar-winner's face was hidden under heavy makeup, it wasn't hard to recognize her.
The Gravity star, 49, who had black and red designs painted on her face, wore a lace dress with a skeleton corset that made her look as if she'd stepped out of a Mexican Day of the Dead celebration.
Her costume matched perfectly with her 3-year-old's skeleton suit, complete with bat wings.

A lot of 7-year-old boys like to dress up as superheroes for Halloween but Landon Browne isn't putting on Superman's cape or Batman's mask. This year he's going as his own personal superhero – Dr. Jay Rubenstein, the surgeon who gave him the gift of hearing.
Browne turned up at Seattle Children's Hospital on Wednesday wearing a lab coat, stethoscope and surgical gloves to surprise Rubinstein. "He worked on both my ears and he's a great surgeon," the little boy explained to Seattle's KOMO News.
