Channing Tatum Back at Work in 'Hardest Acting Challenge' Yet

You can't just hang around being sexy all day. At some point, you have to get back to work.
So it is for Channing Tatum, PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive, who was spotted Wednesday with a barely recognizable Mark Ruffalo on the Pittsburgh set of the movie Foxcatcher.
Tatum, 32, and Ruffalo, 45, play brothers Mark and David Schultz in the film, which is based on the real-life story of U.S. Olympic wrestler David's murder at the hands of team sponsor John du Pont of the famed du Pont family.

How will PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive Channing Tatum spend Christmas this year?
Having dance-off with his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, of course.
"We'll be playing the Xbox Kinect 4 Dance Central 3," Dewan-Tatum told PEOPLE on Thursday. "We get very competitive when it comes to video games, but this one in particular we're going to have a lot of fun with."

After a busy few years of work – including a sizzling stripper turn in Magic Mike – PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive says he's taking a hiatus from acting in 2013.
Channing Tatum, 32, who starred in five movies in 2012 alone, and has four more on deck for the year ahead, tells EW.com that he's not quitting acting but hopes to take some time away next year to work on directing projects with his production partner Reid Carolin, a screenwriter.

Channing Tatum sure picked an odd time to tell his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, that he'd been named PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive. It was while they were cleaning skunk spray off their dogs!
"Our dogs were being skunked every other night for about two months straight, so this was a very normal occurrence, to be kneeling in front of the bathtub washing our dogs," the actress, 31, told PEOPLE Wednesday at the opening of Kimberly Snyder's juice bar Glow Bio in West Hollywood.
"But he was like, 'Oh, by the way, I was named PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive...' "

He may have bared (almost) all of that incredibly chiseled body in this year's Magic Mike but 2012's Sexiest Man Alive Channing Tatum was still modest when he heard the news.
"My first thought was, 'Y'all are messing with me,'" says Tatum, who married actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum in 2009. "I told Jenna after we'd been in the bathtub washing our dogs because they'd gotten skunked."
Says the actor: "She was like, 'What?'"
"Yeah, she calls me [the Sexiest Man Alive] now," he adds. And who can blame her?

In anticipation of Wednesday's big Sexiest Man Alive reveal, Tuesday's Don't Trust the B–– in Apt. 23 (9:30 p.m. ET/PT on ABC) features a very eager Van Der Beek vying for the coveted title.
During the episode, the actor's pal Chloe, played by Krysten Ritter, storms into the magazine's New York City headquarters and tries to take charge and get Van Der Beek on the cover.

November may be a tough month for the current reigning Sexiest Man Alive Bradley Cooper, who will be forced to relinquish his title in a few weeks when PEOPLE bestows the honor upon another deserving actor.
"I'm in therapy three times a week, but I think I'll get through it," the star of already critically-praised Silver Linings Playbook told PEOPLE at the Hollywood Film Awards in Beverly Hills on Monday.
While Former Sexiest Man Alive (and Argo director and star) Ben Affleck also made an appearance at the gala, Cooper had his eye on another past winner when asked who should be 2012's Sexiest Man Alive.

Everything sounds better in French – especially when it's Bradley Cooper talking.
Aside from being easy on the eyes, PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive is fluent in French. We put the actor's language skills to the test and he demonstrated how to ask for directions, order breakfast and invite someone out for dinner.
While Cooper calls himself a "single 36-year-old male," it's safe to assume that when he asks a woman on a dinner date, the answer must be "Oui!"

There are a lot of protests going on in New York City these days, but this was unexpected.
Call it Occupy Sexy. Announcing themselves from the social-content website BuzzFeed.com, about 15 protesters in Ryan Gosling masks showed up – in the rain, no less – outside PEOPLE's headquarters at Manhattan's Time-Life Building on Wednesday.
"We are devastated," Buzzfeed's Matt Stopera, 24, said of PEOPLE's decision to name Bradley Cooper 2011's Sexiest Man Alive. "[Gosling's] left arm alone makes him the Sexiest Man Alive. Hello, look at his abs!"

Sure, he's easy on the eyes, but there's more to 2011's Sexiest Man Alive Bradley Cooper than dazzling baby blues and a killer smile.
Ladies, take note: this Georgetown grad can whip up dinner, take you for a spin on his motorcycle and whisper sweet nothings in French (he's fluent!). Just don't try convincing him what a catch he is.
"I think it's really cool that a guy who doesn't look like a model can have this [title]," says the Hangover actor, 36. "I think I'm a decent-looking guy. Sometimes I can look great, and other times I look horrifying."
Another reason to love him? Cooper, whose father Charles passed away in January, is especially close with his mom, Gloria. When he learned he'd been crowned Sexiest Man Alive, the "first thing I thought," he says, "was, 'My mother is going to be so happy.' "
