As an actor, Johnny Depp is a master at the transformation – changing up his look for each new role – but he remains consistently sexy.
Named PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive for the second time, Depp, 46, has portrayed everything from a police officer to a pirate, impressing fans and costars alike. "He really is as sexy as he's cracked up to be," his Public Enemies costar Leelee Sobieski raves.
In light of Depp's latest Sexiest Man Alive title – he received the title first in 2003 – we wonder: What's his sexiest look?

Hugh Jackman Prepares to Pass Sexiest Man Alive Crown

As the one-year reign of Hugh Jackman as PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive winds down, it's time to pass the crown to a new deserving hunk. So who does the Australian screen star, Oscar host and current Broadway leading man want to see take the title next?
"Me! I want to be the first to have it back to back, buddy," Jackman, 41, told PEOPLE's reporter on Friday in New York, while attending the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concert (set to air on HBO Nov. 29). "That would be fantastic!"
Though he would like to reclaim the title, the Steady Rain star (who costars in the Broadway drama with Daniel Craig, certainly another SMA possibility) says it's been quite an exciting year as the Sexiest Man Alive, but also one that's been a little demanding.
"I thought there were thousands of other guys that deserved it, but it's been a great year. But now the pressures off," he said good-naturedly. "I can be a slob again."

Ashton Kutcher Aims to Be Sexiest Man Alive

Apparently Ashton Kutcher is taking it on the chin when it comes to being among PEOPLE's 100 Most Beautiful People – as he was declared in the issue that went on sale last Friday.
Showing him the page from the magazine when he appeared on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday, the host asked Kutcher what it was like to be "one of the most beautiful somethings in PEOPLE magazine."
"That's a pre-beard photo," was Kutcher's reaction, also noting that "when I start to grow my beard ... I get notches off" being judged beautiful.

Yes, George Clooney and Brad Pitt have shamelessly campaigned for him since 2001, but this year's winner was Bourne to the title. Named America's most bankable star by Forbes, the golden boy with the crooked smile is smart, charming and humble to boot. "You gave an aging suburban dad the ego boost of a lifetime," wrote Damon, 37, in a letter to PEOPLE, explaining why he couldn't possibly accept the crown.
