There was a time when I would only hear my male clients talk about how they wanted fit, chiseled arms. Nowadays, almost all of my female clients are adamant about having strong, sculpted arms, and that's thanks, in part, to the über-fit actresses dominating the movie screens of the '90s and early 2000s.
The incredible arms of Hilary Swank in Million Dollar Baby, Halle Berry in Catwoman, Demi Moore in G.I. Jane, Resident Evil's Milla Jovovich, and Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider, all inspired women to lose the sleeves and focus on making their arms as amazing as the rest of their bodies.
There are two main muscle groups in the arms: The biceps, which are located on the front of the upper arms; and the triceps, which are on the back of the upper arms. The main function of the biceps is to bend the elbow, while the triceps straighten the arm at the elbow.

It was all love, sunshine and swimsuits for Jennifer Aniston and fiancé Justin Theroux as they continued a romantic beach holiday Tuesday at one of her fave spots, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Aniston, 44, rocked a muy caliente beach vibe in a tiny red bikini and matching wrap, showing off her toned tummy and sculpted arms as she shared poolside kisses with a gallant and equally fit Theroux, 42, who lovingly wrapped her up in a towel after a dip.
Aniston, who has been busy promoting her most recent film, We're the Millers, looked relaxed as speculation of a wedding date continues.

Sherri Shepherd remembers the exact moment she decided to turn her health around.
"It was about two years ago, before I got married," the actress and View co-host says. "I was 197 pounds, sitting on my couch, eating pizza and watching infomercials. I am an infomercial whore – I'll watch any of them! But anyway, this infomercial for Zumba showed up and I couldn't get to my credit card fast enough! I knew it was time."
One of her reasons to get in shape: to boost her energy levels.

Looking at Shakira's rock-hard abs, it's hard to believe that the singer delivered her first child earlier this year.
But the new mom, who's featured on the cover of the September issue of Self, tells the magazine that she didn't snap back into shape immediately after her son, Milan, was born in January.

Talk about a couple of bathing beauties.

The Prometheus star opted for a red bikini and sunglasses, while Jackson preferred to frolic in a diaper as he played with a snorkel mask.

Growing up I was always the bigger girl.
I hated being the "clothes holder" for my friends when we went shopping because when I was 13, I was a size 28 and could never try on the same things.
In high school I'd get to class early so people wouldn't see me trying to squeeze into my desk. I was so embarrassed. But then I ate two bowls of cereal and two bowls of ice cream with chocolate sauce, peanuts, cookies and whole milk poured over it to make me feel better before bed.

Sharon Stone has one of Hollywood's most enviable bodies – and she credits it to an unconventional workout.
"I put on dance mixes and I really dance my brains out at home because I enjoy that," the actress told PEOPLE at the New York premiere of her upcoming film Lovelace at the Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday.
"That saying – 'Dance like nobody is watching' – I do that. I dance like nobody's watching and I dance hard until I sweat and I think that that’s very good. It’s good for the mind and the body."
Along with her dedication to her dance moves, there's more that keeps Stone, 55, in phenomenal shape.

Shaving his head was easy. But getting into super human shape for his role in Elysium was another story for Matt Damon.
"It was really hard because I love to eat and drink!" Damon, 42, told PEOPLE on Tuesday at a special New York screening of the sci fi film hosted by 2(X)IST Watches. "It's very hard to motivate me to get in shape."
But when the film's director Neill Blomkamp showed him pictures of Elysium's leading character, Max, a tattoo-covered tough guy who wears an exoskeleton strength suit, "I went okay, this is definitely worth it," Damon says.
The recent Emmy nominee went on a strict diet and spent four hours a day at the gym for months, pumping iron and doing cardio. As a result, PEOPLE's 2007 Sexiest Man Alive bulked up with a chiseled set of rock-hard abs and bulging biceps.
