This season of Dancing with the Stars – deemed the most competitive yet – has come to an end.
After seemingly endless weeks of grueling rehearsals and memorable performances three couples – Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas; Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd; and William Levy and Cheryl Burke – were left vying for the coveted mirror-ball trophy during two nights of competition.
The couples had 24 hours to put together a final routine for the judges. Those scores, combined with the ones from the night before as well as America's votes (which count for half of the combined score), would determine the winners of Dancing with the Stars. Read on to find out who was crowned the king and queen of the ballroom this season ...

She may have recently called off her engagement, but recent DWTS champ Karina Smirnoff was celebrating the holidays at the Winter in Venice celebration inside the Venetian and the Palazzo Las Vegas. She graciously posed for pictures with fans and scoped out the 65-ft tall Christmas tree, as well as the ice skating rink. Smirnoff also sipped hot chocolate and sported a Santa hat during the festivities.

What's in a name? For Team Drickilous, hopefully fancy footwork skills to go along with their fun attitude!
Dancing with the Stars contestant Ricki Lake and her partner Derek Hough have unveiled their team name for the season, and it's "Drickilous."
Though the former talk show host has been using "Drickilous" as a tag on her Twitter page recently, she and Hough officially introduced the name in a video posted on her Facebook page Thursday. A giggly Lake, 42, and a deadpan Hough, 26, explain that they combined his first initial and her name to create the new moniker, pronounced "Dee-riculous."

Cheryl Burke and her fellow Dancing with the Stars castmate Maksim Chmerkovskiy are very close. But they’re not dating, Burke says – despite rumors of romance.
The pro dancers were spotted getting cozy in Las Vegas recently, where they visited with other friends. But looks can be deceiving.
"We have a good time," Burke, 27, told PEOPLE while celebrating her belated birthday at Palazzo Las Vegas's Azure Luxury Pool. "We've known each other since we were kids. We have that brother and sister relationship."
