Add this to Ashley Tisdale's list of acting skills – she can look totally hot while completely freezing.

The Scary Movie V actress, 27, says her sultry photos – including the cover shot – in the May issue of Maxim are a bit deceiving. What looks like summer was anything but.

"It was freezing. It was not really that fun," she told PEOPLE Thursday at the Scary Movie V premiere in Los Angeles. "I was in Malibu, in the wintertime, with nothing on."

Meryl Streep Remembers Margaret Thatcher as a 'Pioneer' | Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep: Margaret Thatcher Was a 'Pioneer'

Originally posted 04/08/2013 12:30PM

Meryl Streep received universal acclaim and an Oscar – her third – for her portrayal of former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher in the 2011 biopic The Iron Lady. PEOPLE's critic raved at the time that Streep's turn was more "channeling" than impersonation.

On Monday, after the news broke that Thatcher had died at 87 following a stroke, the actress was quick to point out that, in reality, Thatcher was a complex woman she barely knew – and a woman with a complicated legacy.

"Margaret Thatcher was a pioneer, willingly or unwillingly, for the role of women in politics," Streep said in a statement. "It is hard to imagine a part of our current history that has not been affected by measures she put forward in the U.K. at the end of the 20th century. Her hard-nosed fiscal measures took a toll on the poor, and her hands-off approach to financial regulation led to great wealth for others. There is an argument that her steadfast, almost emotional loyalty to the pound sterling has helped the U.K. weather the storms of European monetary uncertainty."

After Jurassic Park, Mazzello starred in a string of hit movies, including The River Wild with Meryl Streep, and enrolled at the University of Southern California in 2001.

Roger Ebert is resting in peace.

"We were getting ready to go home today for hospice care, when he looked at us, smiled, and passed away," Roger's wife of 20 years, Chaz, said Thursday in a statement, shortly after news broke of his death. "No struggle, no pain, just a quiet, dignified transition."

But the loss of the iconic movie critic, 70, has understandably left Chaz "devastated," as she refers to him as "my husband, my friend, my confidante and oh-so-brilliant partner."
