Aerosmith Members Say Steven Tyler 'Needs Help'

Originally posted 11/19/2009 05:30AM

As Steven Tyler's bandmates ponder the future now that he has decided to take a two-year break from Aerosmith, they are also expressing concerns about the singer's well-being.

"I think that he needs help and that attention needs to be put to his health," drummer Joey Kramer tells PEOPLE.

And Kramer says he isn't referring to the broken shoulder Tyler sustained when he fell off the stage during a concert in August.

Asked if he thinks there is something else going on with Tyler, he says, "I do."

Recent reports in the Boston Herald and online suggest Tyler, who battled drug addiction in the '70s and '80s and checked into a rehab center last year to detox from painkillers, may be partying again.

Though Kramer would not say whether he has seen Tyler use drugs recently, he says he is concerned because the singer has "isolated himself."

Says Kramer, "He's got some bad influences in his life right now and he's making poor choices."

Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford tells PEOPLE, "His behavior is spinning out of control."

Michael Bublé has a message for the Australian critics who slammed Britney Spears for lip-synching during concerts: lighten up!

"You'd think she killed someone," Bublé, in Australia to promote his album Crazy Love, told Melbourne's Herald Sun newspaper. "Okay, she lip-synchs her show, people know that, they make the decision if they want to go and see her do that."

He added, "Does she deserve the way she's been completely bashed by the media here? No."

The gun-wielding pair take on paps, voyeurs and camera-headed guys in suits (no, really) as they make apparent nods to Betty Page and the wartime flag of Japan. Take a look-see and find out for yourself.

Originally posted 11/17/2009 07:00AM

Joey McIntyre is singing a rocking new tune, "Here We Go Again," and PEOPLE.com has the world premiere of the action-packed music video. In the clip, McIntyre starts out looking dapper – in a crisp suit – then goes shirtless as he steps into a boxing ring for a high-octane fight.

"I've made a lot of music in my life, but this is the boldest and most raw stuff yet," McIntyre, 36, tells PEOPLE. "I had some angst to get off my chest and I did that through this music. Bottom line is, I'm tired of saying no, so I'm saying, 'Yeah!' I wanna rock. I hope it makes you say, 'Yeah,' too!"

"Here We Go Again" is now available on iTunes. It's the first single from an EP the singer is planning to release next month.

Originally posted 11/11/2009 04:30PM

Joe Perry still isn't sure which way Steven Tyler's walking.

After reports swirled that Tyler might be leaving Aerosmith, his unexpected performance with bandmate Perry in New York City on Tuesday night wasn't just a shock to fans but also to Perry. At the performance, Tyler said, "I just want New York to know I'm not leaving Aerosmith."

"I was totally surprised. I had no idea he was going to show up," Perry tells PEOPLE in his first interview since the show. In fact, the pair hadn't spoken in weeks. "All I know is we walked off stage and were sitting taking our break [before] the encore and there was a bunch of commotion and I looked up and Steven was there."

Britney Spears Weighs In on Lip-Synching Flap – Sort Of

Originally posted 11/10/2009 02:30PM

Despite a recent flap over alleged lip-synching at a concert in Australia, Britney Spears isn't letting the media storm deter her from what matters most: her fans.

"I hear there is a lot of controversy in the media about my show," the singer said in a statement. "Some reporters have said they love it and some don't. I came to Australia for my fans!"

While scrutiny about whether or not Spears's singing would be live or pre-recorded arose last week, it was actually report of fans walking out of her concert that put the singer on the defensive.

"It's the biggest lie I've ever heard," Spears's tour promoter Paul Dainty told The Australian about the reports. "I'm so angry. We can take heat if there's something wrong and people can review shows badly – that's something you have to live with – but to say people stormed out of the show was an absolute fabrication."

Meanwhile, the Musicians Union of Australia released its own statement in response to the lip- synching controversy, saying that concert-goers should be told if they're buying tickets to a lip-synched performance.
