While waiting for a flight out of Los Angeles on March 18, jewelry designer Nancy Anderson became fixated on news footage of two dogs who survived Japan's devastating earthquake and tsunami. One was injured and the other one, who was visibly shaking in fear, wouldn't leave his injured pal's side.
Anderson was happy to learn later that the dogs were taken to a local shelter and that the wounded pup recovered well – but Anderson, a dog-lover, couldn't help but think of all the other stranded pets in need.

Looks like Brooklyn Beckham wants a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T.
The eldest of David and Victoria Beckham's three boys, who will be joined by a sister later this year, rocked a shark T-shirt on Wednesday as he and his family made their way through Los Angeles International Airport.
The image is a photo taken by underwater photographer Wayne Levin, and was recently added to the "Respect T" sold by the label Warriors of Radness.

Cats are mysterious creatures, but there are three things we know for sure about them: they love to sleep, they love to eat, and they love catnip. Now there's another thing we can add to the short list: KONG.
The company's new cat toys – the Kitty KONG and KONG Cat Wobbler – were a bonafide hit with our feline testers. From the moment the toys were taken out of the package they were cornered by curious feline noses.
The Wobbler ($13.99), an egg-shaped toy that you fill with treats, is like a kitty IQ test – who will figure out how to get the treats out first? The victor was not who we expected.

Try as they might, little hands just can't do all the things that big hands can. That's why Portland-based parents Sara Chun and Ben Cavalcanti created Kitty Baby Love, egg-shaped kitty crayons that fit perfectly in the smaller hands of young aspiring artists.

Doing good has never looked so pretty!
Emily Elizabeth Jewelry has designed a special line of gold-plated necklaces and earrings to let animal lovers show just how much their furry friends mean to them – and 50 percent of the proceeds benefit the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
Ranging in price from $35 to $50, pet owners can choose from Bad to the Bone studs in the shape of dog bones, a necklace with a M-E-O-W pendant, or many more purr-fect pieces. Each purchase also comes with a thank you note from the ASPCA, which aims to provide life-saving programs and services to animals nationwide.

When Einstein the miniature horse was born at a farm in New Hampshire last May, people could hardly believe their eyes. The horse weighed just 6-lbs. and was about as tall as a box of Wheaties. Now, almost a year later, Einstein has grown, and is growing up. He's passed the 15-lb. mark, he's celebrating his 1st birthday on April 22 and has a new book, A Friend for Einstein, that hits shelves next week.
