Exes Sofia Vergara & Nick Loeb Meet Up for Hot Chocolate

It appears Sofia Vergara and Nick Loeb are doing their best to remain amicable exes.

The Modern Family actress, who has been spotted hitting the town since splitting from Loeb, was seen sipping on a mocha hot chocolate with her ex in New York City this week.

The pair, who ordered their beverages from the Max Brenner Chocolate Shop, "sat down, ordered [their drinks] and left – it was in-and-out," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "They were pleasant, and thanked the manager for the excellent service. They said they will visit again soon."

Of their brief meet-up, the source says, "They were not romantic at all."

President Obama Excites Employees with Surprise Visit to a Local Sandwich Shop

The staff at Taylor Gourmet in Washington, D.C., was in for a recent treat when President Barack Obama popped in for a little visit.

"He bought members of Congress hoagies to-go," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "He paid in cash, $80."

Of the purchase, which cost about $20 less than what Obama left, the source says the employees at the sandwich shop, "Yelled in amazement, 'You carry money?'"

They added, "He was in a very good mood. Everyone [at the eatery] agreed he makes you feel like he's your friend and your president!"

Reese Witherspoon & Jim Toth Make It a Date with Kate Hudson & Matt Bellamy

Skipping the parties preceding the White House Correspondents' Dinner, Reese Witherspoon and hubby Jim Toth opted instead for a double date with some famous pals!

Joined by Kate Hudson and fiancé Matt Bellamy, along with Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover model Kate Upton and a talent agent, the party of six dined at Café Milano in Georgetown on Friday night for three hours.

"They seemed to be having lots of fun," an onlooker tells PEOPLE, adding that Witherspoon laughed throughout the meal and appeared to be in great spirits, while displaying her baby bump in a black dress.

On the menu for the pregnant actress? Fresh baby artichoke, salad in a lemon vinaigrette and spinach fettuccine with veal Bolognese sauce.

Shia LaBeouf's Lovely On-Set Visitor: His Girlfriend!

He may be in Vancouver filming his new movie, The Company You Keep, but Shia LaBeouf had a welcome on-set visitor: girlfriend Karolyn Pho. She was casually dressed and chatty with crewmembers as she watched her beau film his scene, even listening to his dialogue in headphones. Later, director Robert Redford came over to introduce himself, shaking her hand. Shia also managed to escape the set for a bit, grabbing a beverage with his girlfriend at a coffee shop nearby, before strolling back to set arm in arm. – Christine Kilpatrick
