Let's be clear: There's nothing funny about drug addiction, nor is there anything to be gained from glamorizing it.
But there have still been some amazing characters struggling – with varying degrees of silliness – with addiction on television.
As Edie Falco returns to television Sunday in Nurse Jackie, we're looking at other famous addicts from the small screen who have captured our hearts.

Jesse Pinkman fans might just get the ultimate fix.
Aaron Paul said he's had "serious talks" with Breaking Bad co-creator Vince Gilligan to join Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad prequel centered around sketchy lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), and reprise the role that made him a star.
"Anything Vince is involved with, I'm there," Paul recently said in an interview promoting his new film Need for Speed, reports New York's Daily News.
"I owe him my entire career. And the idea of jumping into the skin of Jesse Pinkman again in his lighter days – because it's all a prequel – it would be fun."

Aaron Paul likes to go where everybody knows your name.
The Breaking Bad star was in Boston for Wednesday night's screening of his new movie, Need for Speed, at the Loews Theater on the Common. After the film, he celebrated at one of the city's most famous watering holes.
Along with a group of fans, Paul headed to Cheers in Boston's historic Beacon Hill area, where he spent the night mugging for selfies with fans and chatting up the crowd.
