Bradley Whitford, who played White House Deputy Chief of Staff Josh Lyman for seven seasons on the NBC series, doesn't think so.
"It's terrible writing," the 56-year-old actor recently told PEOPLE. "Look, our show had a progressive democratic point of view, and the fakest thing about our show was that we had rational Republicans written in to be the opposition."

After Allison Janney revived her West Wing character at a White House press briefing last week, the no-nonsense press secretary showed up on The Late Late Show Wednesday night alongside host James Corden – but she wasn't alone.
Bradley Whitford, a.k.a. White House Deputy Chief of Staff Josh Lyman, also joined in for Corden's riff on West Wing scribe Aaron Sorkin's signature walk-and-talk.

Jaws dropped last month when Sony Pictures canceled the $50-million Brad Pitt movie Moneyball only days before it was scheduled to start shooting – but now, apparently, the studio is working to shut those mouths.
The West Wing writer and creator Aaron Sorkin has been brought in to do a quick re-write on a script that Sony had ultimately deemed too arty and documentary-like in approach, reports The New York Times.
The studio also hopes to add Oscar-winning producer Scott Rudin (There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men) to the movie's creative team.
