Cate Blanchett is set to play the lead role in an upcoming biopic about I Love Lucy star Lucille Ball, The Wrap reports. Newsroom creator Aaron Sorkin is writing the script for the film, which has been authorized by Ball's family. Her children, Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz Jr., will co-produce.

There is nothing like summertime to heat up a romance – and Kristin Davis is no exception!
The former Sex and the City star and new mom showed no reservations with Aaron Sorkin at a PDA-packed premiere of his latest show, The Newsroom, on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
"The couple kissed for cameras on the red carpet and stayed very close at the after party," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "They held hands and hugged all night."

Jaws dropped last month when Sony Pictures canceled the $50-million Brad Pitt movie Moneyball only days before it was scheduled to start shooting – but now, apparently, the studio is working to shut those mouths.
The West Wing writer and creator Aaron Sorkin has been brought in to do a quick re-write on a script that Sony had ultimately deemed too arty and documentary-like in approach, reports The New York Times.
The studio also hopes to add Oscar-winning producer Scott Rudin (There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men) to the movie's creative team.
