POLL: Which Celeb Pulled Off the Funniest April Fools' Prank?

Originally posted 04/01/2010 05:20PM

It's that time of year again – and Hollywood is joining in on the fun of April Fools' Day. From fake pregnancies to Twitter hacking, here's how some stars are messing with their fans:

• Is Brooke Burke pregnant? "Where is your sense of humor?!? I will not be Dancing With baby #5. lOL Got you!!!! April Fools!!!" the Dancing with the Stars co-host, whose Web site reported the fake news on Thursday, Tweeted later in the day. (She even had her mom believing there would be another Burke baby on the way.)

• Justin Bieber's already topped the pop charts – but what about the Web? The 16-year-old singer "bought" FunnyOrDie.com, renamed it Bieber or Die, and declared, "Anything that's not Bieber dies!"

• Are the guys of Coldplay the latest celebs launching a signature fragrance? The band broke the faux news on their Web site that Angst by Coldplay, which features ingredients such as sangre, sudor and lagrimas, can now be purchased online for £42, although it's already sold out.

A Galaxy of Stars Light Up Pre-Grammy Gala

No one can bring out the stars quite like Clive Davis! The music mogul's Pre-Grammy Gala & Salute to Industry Icons (this year honoring Universal Music Group Chairman and CEO Doug Morris) is an annual tradition and one of the biggest parties of the year. And with a bevy of stars – including Jay-Z, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Russell Brand, Taylor Swift, Ne-Yo, Sheryl Crow, Adam Lambert and Barbra Streisand – in attendance, Saturday night's bash at the Beverly Hilton Hotel was no exception.

"It's one of those parties that you have to come to," Ciara, in head-to-toe Givenchy, told PEOPLE on her way in. "I'm excited to see everybody! It's cool to see people that you know, people that you don't know. It's always great to see Clive, and I'm just looking forward to having a great time."

Fergie, in a Zuhair Murad party dress, breezed down the red carpet in a hurry, stopping only to have a happy chat with Nick Jonas. But the singer had a good reason to rush: The Black Eyed Peas opened the show with Slash singing the classic Guns n' Rose's tune "Sweet Child O' Mine."

FIRST LOOK: Adam Lambert Sits Down with Oprah

Originally posted 01/14/2010 08:40AM

It's hardly like Adam Lambert to be anything but upfront, so the recent mystery about his possible appearing with Oprah Winfrey on her show was a bit baffling. But baffle no more.

While the American Idol sensation addressed the rumors and Twittered last Thursday, "Oprah: def true," word from the Winfrey camp reached PEOPLE to say that the 27-year-old and the media queen taped their interview Wednesday at the Harpo Studios in Chicago. The show will air Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Idol Kris Allen Says Adam Lambert is Finally Showing His True Colors

Shocked over Adam Lambert's recent performance antics? Don't be, says American Idol winner Kris Allen, because there is more to come.

"Yeah, that's who he is," Allen told the press at last Friday's Z100's Jingle Ball at New York's Madison Square Garden. "Obviously, he couldn't do that stuff on Idol. And so you're getting to see the real Adam now."

Lambert caused an uproar for his sexually-charged performance on the American Music Awards last month, which led ABC to cancel his scheduled New Year's Eve appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and his performance on Good Morning America. He was allowed to appear on The View.

Adam Lambert has no idea what he is doing over the holiday season – and that's just the way he likes it.

"I don't have any specific plans yet and am going to play it by ear," he told PEOPLE at the Anti-Defamation League's Award Gala honoring director Steven Spielberg in Los Angeles Wednesday.

"I hope to spend it with the people I love: my friends and family. I will probably stay in L.A., though the spirit may move me to throw on the snow clothes and head to Big Bear, or maybe go down to Mexico."

Adds Lambert, "I like to be spontaneous, and it will be the only time recently when my life will not be completely blocked out."

ABC Cancels Another Adam Lambert Performance

Originally posted 12/03/2009 08:30AM

As far as ABC is concerned, the controversy surrounding Adam Lambert still hasn't cooled down enough for him to be handled. For the second time, the network has cancelled an appearance by the onetime American Idol favorite.

"Yes, sadly friends, ABC has canceled my appearances on Kimmel and NYE," Lambert, 27, wrote on his Twitter account. ":( don't blame them. It's the FCC heat."

The singer's racy American Music Awards performance earned the FCC and the network thousands of complaints from viewers who thought his homoerotic gyrations inappropriate for TV. ABC quickly nixed an appearance on Good Morning America, saying his stage style was not suited for a morning show – a move Lambert took in good humor.

Adam Lambert Jokes Being a PEOPLE Sexy Man Inspired Performance

Originally posted 11/27/2009 01:15PM

Adam Lambert's performance at the American Music Awards – during which he locked lips with a male and simulated oral sex – was deemed too sexual for some. And just weeks before that, the American Idol finalist was featured in PEOPLE's Sexiest Men Alive issue. Coincidence? Maybe not: Lambert jokes that inclusion on the Sexy Man list may have inspired him.

"I don't know, maybe it went to my head and that's why I did the performance the way I did," the singer, 27, quipped to eTalk, a Canadian entertainment program.
