Tessanne Chin's coach, Adam Levine, alluded to a personal and private burden she'd been carrying this week, but she channeled those raw emotions into her performance on The Voice on Monday, with a searing version of Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" that had the audience on its feet cheering.
Pouring out her heart, the Jamaican power vocalist ended her song with a sustained note that showcased her strength and likely cemented her place in the show's final as the last five contestants battled in the live semifinals round.
"That was crazy what just happened," Levine said. "The sheer talent is just … I think that is probably the most flawless and graceful performance I've ever heard on this show."

Team Sexy continued Tuesday – but this week it was a close one.
The Voice results show had a little bit of everything this week: a live performance from an expectant Kelly Clarkson, coaches Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera sporting some funky hats, and nail-biting drama, courtesy of the Twitter instant save, which determined who would be sent home.
The show kicked off with a holiday performance of "Underneath the Christmas Tree" by a still-queasy Clarkson, who didn't move around much onstage, and told host Carson Daly, "I've felt better. I'm looking forward to the second trimester."

It's one thing to perform one of your coach's career-defining songs; it's yet another to do it powerfully and earn her full blessing.
That's what New Jersey teen Jacquie Lee did Monday night on The Voice when she tackled Christina Aguilera's coming-of-age ballad "The Voice Within" with a vocal range rivaling her own coach, who was feeling their connection.
"I do find so many similarities in you, not only as a vocalist but as a person," a beaming Aguilera told Lee. "It's a struggle to find yourself, so young, in this business … I wrote this song when I was 20, 21, and it was a time in my life when you're being pushed and pulled in so many directions."

Adam Levine's winning streak continues.
For the third week in a row, The Voice coach – and PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive – not only kept his team of three intact, but avoided the dreaded bottom three, which this week featured one contestant representing each of his fellow coaches.
Team Adam's Tessanne Chin, 28, Will Champlin, 30, and James Wolpert, 22, were all saved, along with Jacquie Lee, 16, of Team Christina Aguilera and Cole Vosbury, 22, of Team Blake Shelton.
