Originally posted 03/23/2012 12:00PM
Adele's lovelorn (Grammy-winning) anthem "Someone Like You" has undoubtedly provided the soundtrack to countless breakups and heartache – and Peter Facinelli is apparently no exception.
After news broke of his divorce from wife Jennie Garth last week, Facinelli, 38, took to Twitter Thursday night to express himself by quoting the song, writing: "Sometimes it lasts in love and sometimes it hurts instead- Adele."
Was he drawing on his personal experience – or just quoting a much-beloved pop song?
Last week, the Twilight star was seen cruising around Los Angeles without his wedding ring, and Garth, 39, also recently stepped out without hers.

Adele and boyfriend Simon Konecki enjoyed a romantic dinner date night at Rasoi, an Indian restaurant in London. The two shared a mix of vegetarian and chicken dishes at the Michelin-starred eatery, and even took some of their food home in doggy bags.
The Grammy winner was friendly to the staff, with onlookers remarking about how "in sync" she was with her new beau. And although the pair didn't kiss in public, a source tells PEOPLE, "They just had a nice, friendly, happy meal, and were very much like an ordinary couple who seemed very relaxed in each other's company, with lots of laughing and joking."
Adds the source: "They seem very much [to be] a happy couple." – Phil Boucher

Originally posted 02/21/2012 07:00PM
Warning, music fans: Adele just went M.I.A.
An angry Adele gave the middle finger at the Brit Awards for music Tuesday night in London, two weeks after rapper M.I.A. gave the same obscene gesture at the Super Bowl halftime show.
It happened as Adele, 23, was picking up the best album award to go with her solo female honor and was giving her acceptance speech.
"I am so proud to be British and to be flying the flag," she was saying when host James Corden interrupted her to introduce the '90s British pop band Blur.
The crowd booed and Adele digitally expressed herself. The multiple-Grammy winner explained that she wasn't directing her scorn at the audience.

PEOPLE Critic Reviews Emotional Highs and Lows of Grammy Telecast
Originally posted 02/13/2012 04:00PM
The Grammys would have been (and were) a showcase for the glory that is Adele, but Whitney Houston's death 24 hours before the event turned the CBS special into a night of mourning and celebration cresting on big, pure emotions. That's what brought in an estimated 39 million viewers, the highest number for the broadcast since 1984 and the second highest ever.
LL Cool J, who handled the hosting duties without any perceptible wrinkling in his uncanny smoothness, opened with a simple prayer for Houston, "a woman who we loved … our fallen sister." This set up a clip of the six-time Grammy winner belting her signature hit "I Will Always Love You."

Three months after having throat surgery for a hemorrhaged vocal chord, Adele made a triumphant return at Sunday's Grammy Awards, winning six trophies, including album of the year, and performing publicly for the first time since her health scare.
For the British singer, 23, it was clearly a night of relief as well as joy. "Mum, I love you. I'm so sorry you're not here," she said through sobs in accepting the album of the year award.
Her album, 21, was "inspired by something that is really normal and everyone's been through it, which is a rubbish relationship," she added.
