Fans of easy-to-make puns and '80s television: We've got a treat for you.
For the mid-season finale of Alan Thicke's reality show, Unusually Thicke, Thicke hosts a Growing Pains reunion at a barbecue and hangs out with John Stamos. If that sentence didn't send your nostalgia-o-meter into the red, nothing will.

Over nine seasons, How I Met Your Mother has acquired an impressive list of celebrity guest appearances.
There was Britney Spears as the dippy dermatologist's assistant obsessed with Ted (Josh Radnor). There was Bryan Cranston as the architect whose buildings always seemed to resemble – how shall we put this delicately? – male anatomy. Even Jane Seymour ditched Dr. Quinn's period attire for the sexy style of Marshall's (Jason Segel) cougar law school professor whom Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) just couldn't tame.
But there's a much smaller circle of stars who've managed to do something even more unique: play themselves. Some became part of long-running gags, others only filmed one-off appearances – but all were legen–wait for it–dary.

Alan Thicke has plenty of reasons to be channeling his inner Jason Seaver. As the proud father of crooner Robin Thicke whose latest single, "Blurred Lines", has established itself as the song of the summer, the 66-year-old actor is reveling in his son's success.
"I've related to it, and understood it, and was able to feel it, up until only the last couple of weeks," the elder Thicke tells PEOPLE while attending the 15th Annual DesignCare event benefiting The HollyRod Foundation.
"He has now projected himself into a stratosphere, into another level, having raised the bar, the family brand, to unimaginable heights."

No Growing Pains here – Alan Thicke was happy to party with son Robin and his wife, Paula Patton, at New York's Avenue. Joined by Queen Latifah and a few other friends and family members, the trio arrived shortly after the Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol premiere, and according to onlookers, seemed to be having a fabulous time. Though Robin donned a white T-shirt and jeans, the rest of the group was dressed to the nines, and spent the night dancing, chatting and sipping vodka drinks – though Alan and Patton stuck to Perrier and Diet Coke. – Jennifer Garcia
