Fifty Shades of Grey fans didn't exactly scream in ecstasy when they learned Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson were cast in the film version. So they took matters in their own hands.
Fans launched a Change.org petition begging producers to cast Matt Bomer as kinky-yet-sensitive billionaire Christian Grey and Alexis Bledel as Anastasia Steele.

See the stunning vintage-style sparkler given to the Gilmore Girls star by fiancé Vincent Kartheiser

Like any good actor, Vincent Kartheiser knows the importance of the rehearsal process.
Before popping the question to girlfriend Alexis Bledel, the Mad Men actor (who plays Pete Campbell) jokingly practiced his proposal on set with costars Elisabeth Moss and Jessica Paré.
"It was purely comedic but he was giving [Elisabeth] and I a facetious rendition of his planned proposal," Paré told PEOPLE at the season 6 premiere of the hit AMC show Wednesday night. "We were like, 'Great! Lets do this one without cursing and without yelling!' "
All joking aside, Kartheiser's costars could not be happier to hear the news of the engagement to Bledel, who plays Beth Dawes on series, which returns to AMC April 7 (9 p.m. ET).

Life imitates ad art.
Last season on Mad Men, the Pete Campbell character played by Vincent Kartheiser had an extra-marital affair with the character Beth Dawes, played by Gilmore Girls star Alexis Bledel.
Now, on brink of the April 7 new season premiere of the AMC series, PEOPLE confirms the news that in real life the couple are to be married!
This will be a first marriage for both Bledel, 31, and Kartheiser, 33.

NEW SHOWSWatch It: Heroes (NBC, 8 p.m. ET) If you missed Monday night's premiere, then make a super effort to see this second-night repeat of one of the season's most exciting new shows (Heroes regularly airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET). A sprawling, mysterious science-fiction adventure, Heroes tracks the emerging destinies of a group of deceptively regular-looking mutants as they start to realize and test their strange powers. It's something like X-Men, but without the costume fetish or the romanticized self-anguish. We have a high school cheerleader who methodically breaks and burns her body because she knows it will miraculously heal. A nerd in Tokyo figures out how to teleport himself, another guy has an irrepressible urge to fly – again, psychologists, you may find this richly suggestive – and a single mother sees her reflected image not quite in sync with her movements. There's so much going on, the story at this point is barely coherent, but it also feels tantalizingly, implicitly whole. If all the pieces don't fit initially, they may just mutate until they do.

After spending the summer traveling Europe, Gilmore Girls' Alexis Bledel is back for a new season on the WB – and some serious mother-daughter drama. Her character, Rory, has yet to make up with fast-talking mom Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and is still blowing off Yale while dating questionable rich boy Logan. The 24-year-old Bledel (Sin City, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants), who was in Washington, D.C., recently for the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, gave PEOPLE.com the inside scoop on the show, her real-life boyfriend and her (possible) wedding plans.
