Our journey together for season 14 of The Biggest Loser has come to an end. Hopefully, you enjoyed Monday's finale!
Each season, I'm always nervous when first meeting the contestants and then uber-nervous for the live finale. What you don't see is that I go on stage right before the live show to say hi to the audience. The best part of that is to see my supportive family in the audience and to see all the alumni that come back year after year as their Biggest Loser family grows with each season.
It's always so fun to see some of the veterans return. I loved seeing Amanda, Sunshine, Estella and Jerry, Dan and Jackie and so many others.

As this season of The Biggest Loser comes to an end on campus, we all love to reflect on just how far the remaining contestants have come.
When we started the season and introduced the show that was going to tackle childhood obesity, many of you were skeptical.
Week after week, Sunny, Lindsay and Biingo inspired all of us and hopefully they inspired you. Their journey has been one of strength, bravery and celebration. To see them transform during the season and to gain self-confidence has been incredibly rewarding.

Did you like this season's Makeover Week? I personally love telling the remaining contestants that they've made it to makeovers because it's always such an important part of the Biggest Loser journey. And as Jeff said, it's the moment when the contestants realize their hard work has paid off.
Tim Gunn and Ken Paves are absolute geniuses every season. Their vision for the contestants' hair and wardrobe changes is always impressive. But this season, they took it to the next level with their transformations of Lindsay, Biingo and Sunny.
I was bummed to not be a part of the makeover reveals because it's always such a special moment. But I loved watching the show at home. I was so happy for every contestant and especially for the kids. Everyone exuded such confidence and joy and I loved the celebration they each could experience.

Biggest Loser's Alison Sweeney Blogs About Facing Your Fears

I hope you guys like this week's episode of The Biggest Loser as much as I did. To me, it combined Jackson's humor, the challenge of living in the real world, the facing of fears and celebrations on the scale.
The week started in Biggest Loser style – with another unexpected twist. Just when the contestants were sad to see Francelina go, I had to tell them that she was not the only contestant to leave campus for the week. The already somber mood got worse in that moment.
Once we got outside in the freezing cold, it seemed like the contestants might send Gina away since she had been such a distraction on campus. The last thing I expected was for Jackson to literally beg to go for the week so he could test himself in the "real world." I was definitely blown away when Jeff volunteered to go home with him. It seemed like a split second decision, but I really admired both of them for standing behind their reasons for doing it.

This week's The Biggest Loser started out on a great note when I explained that it was "All for One" week and that the contestants would all work together for immunity.
Introducing Bingo, Sunny and Lindsay was another great moment. When the kids rocked the nutrition quiz and the physical challenges it was awesome and made me so proud that the show took on childhood obesity and is making a difference with the kids this season.
Then the gym happened. Gina vs. Joe. Jillian vs. Dolvett and Bob. By the time we got to this week's challenge, the tensions were high and the mood of the contestants was definitely different. I didn't realize exactly why until I saw footage of what happened in the gym.

Biggest Loser's Mike Dorsey: I Was 'Committing Suicide' By Overeating
Originally posted 02/17/2013 11:00AM
Michael Dorsey says he turned to The Biggest Loser because he was tired of committing a slow "suicide."
"I don't understand why I was so willing to sacrifice my life when it was something I could fix," Dorsey told reporters of weighing 444 lbs. when he began the show. "I realized that my headspace wasn't right."
On the ranch, Dorsey, 34, was able to make the mental shift necessary to begin losing weight and became a frontrunner for the title of The Biggest Loser – a circumstance he feels ultimately led to being voted out by his housemates, including roommate and alliance member Jeff Nichols.

Biggest Loser's Alison Sweeney Blogs About Valentine's Day Temptation

It's time for singles on The Biggest Loser – and that changes everything! Once I'd given each remaining contestant their new color, I loved the celebration in the house, particularly for Danni who had been competing as a single for the last couple of weeks.
However, the celebration was short-lived when they were introduced to their Valentine's Day temptation. It's incredible that a holiday celebrating love comes with so many calories that hurt those you love the most. So as the challenge began, I put on my night vision goggles and it killed me to watch Francelina and Alex stuffing calories into their mouths. Meanwhile, I was so proud of Danni for using the time for a workout.

Halfway through The Biggest Loser experience of season 14, the contestants have definitely all changed – and for the better.
When the contestants saw their pictures from the first day on campus, there were lots of laughs and groans ... and some shocked reactions. Even though it hasn't been that long in weeks, the changes they have already made have been huge – and now they have some perspective on who they were and who they are now.

Biggest Loser: Alison Sweeney Blogs About Fresh (Not Fast) Food

This week our Biggest Loser contestants weren't too happy with me after I cleared out their kitchen and gave them each a budget of $10 a day to shop for a week's worth of food.
Clearly, some contestants (like Lisa) came with an advantage since they're used to cooking for their families. Others (like Alex) were used to eating fast food, and shopping at the market was definitely a challenge.
