Christopher Abbott Leaving Girls: Report

Girls might be down one cute guy.
Christopher Abbott, who plays Marnie's boyfriend Charlie Dattolo, has left the HBO series, according to the New York Post.
The report suggests Abbott and series creator Lena Dunham may have been butting heads. Abbott's rep did not address that, but did confirm that Abbott's departure to the Post.
"[Chris] is grateful for the experience of collaborating with Lena, Judd [Apatow], and the entire Girls cast and crew, but right now he's working on numerous other projects and has decided not to return to the show," the rep said.

Katy Perry and her Grammy Awards date, Girls star Allison Williams, made it a couples' affair at the Warner Music Group after-party.
Perry reunited with beau John Mayer while Williams reconnected with boyfriend Ricky Van Veen as the group later huddled with Selena Gomez, who arrived around 1 a.m., and Lana Del Rey for early morning drinks at West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont Hotel.

The Grammy Awards will be a girls night out on Sunday for nominee Katy Perry, who has invited a surprising plus-one.
Perry, 28, who is currently in a relationship with John Mayer, 35, plans to take gal pal and Girls star Allison Williams. Mayer, however, is expected to present at Sunday's show.
The chicks-only night on the town was confirmed by Williams to host Anderson Cooper when she appeared on a Thursday episode of his Anderson Live talk show.

Allison Williams wouldn't masturbate in a public restroom. But that's not the only difference between her and Marnie Michaels, the character she plays on HBO's hit comedy Girls.
"There were moments reading the script that I thought, 'WOW, okay!' " the actress, 24, tells Company magazine's February issue and digital edition. "It's the most private thing anyone can do, but being an actress can make you feel vulnerable."
She adds: "My grandparents watch the show. I don't know why I was so concerned, though. They have been alive for virtually 90 years, so who am I to presume that sex never existed before me?"

Katy Perry and John Mayer are definitely feeling the love.
The pair was described as "super affectionate and loving with one another" while out to dinner at New York eatery The Lion Saturday night, toasting Girls star Allison Williams's boyfriend, CollegeHumor.com founder Ricky Van Veen. The actress hosted a small, intimate bash for her beau, who was celebrating his birthday that night.
Following dinner, the group was treated to a surprise magic act, then spent the rest of the night playing games and savoring desserts before leaving at 2 a.m.
According to an onlooker, Mayer was "very gracious, charming and kind" throughout the evening. – Kristin Boehm
