Alyson Hannigan is finding that being pregnant not only gives her cravings – but makes her feel like a stoned Koala bear.

"I get tired a lot and I have pregnancy brain, which I never realized was a thing but it is," the expectant mom said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Friday. "I sort of feel like a Koala bear where I'm slightly stoned all the time and I'll say the wrong word."

Quipped Ellen DeGeneres, "I'm not pregnant, but I have that brain too. I don't have an excuse."

Actress Alyson Hannigan is pregnant, her rep Megan Moss tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The How I Met Your Mother star, 34, and her husband, actor Alexis Denisof, 42, will welcome their first child this spring.

The couple met on the set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer during the 1999-2000 season and were married at the Two Bunch Palms resort near Palm Springs, Calif., on Oct. 11, 2003.

On the big screen, Hannigan is famous for her role as band geek Michelle opposite Jason Biggs in the American Pie trilogy.

CAST: Closer Golden Globe nominee Natalie Portman is in final discussions to star in a new film by producer Joel Silver and Matrix filmmakers the Wachowski brothers, "V Is for Vendetta," based on Alan Moore's graphic WWII novel, says the Hollywood Reporter. The Wachowskis will produce and write the script, which will be directed by their longtime first assistant director James McTeigue. Meantime, Portman celebrates the upcoming release of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith by appearing on the latest cover of Vanity Fair, alongside her costars and creator George Lucas. ... On the small screen, American Pie star Alyson Hannigan is set to join Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ed O'Neill on ABC's upcoming comedy series In the Game, set on a TV sports show. Hannigan, who costarred on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, will play Hewitt's character's best friend.
