The times have changed, but have the OGs?
More than five years have passed since America met Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, Amber Portwood and Farrah Abraham – girls whose great expectations were put on hold when they learned they were expecting.
The breakout stars of MTV's Teen Mom may not be teens anymore – and clearly a lot about the world around them has moved forward (gone is 16 & Pregnant's spiral notebook graphic between segments, in its place a shiny new iPad) – but the drama in their lives remains remarkably consistent.
Then again, these young women never really had "teen" problems in the first place, did they?
Read on for highlights from the premiere episode of Teen Mom OG (including senior superlatives, for old times' sake):

On June 15, Anderson, Ind., police responded to a call that indicated that Amber Portwood was depressed and threatening to end her life. Ultimately, the Teen Mom star was transported to a local medical facility, where she has been receiving treatment.
While the reality TV personality has yet to comment on events of that day, Portwood, 21, did open up to PEOPLE last summer about her struggle with bipolar disorder – a condition characterized by dramatic shifts in mood.
“I take medication,” she said at the time. "I haven't [taken] anything today. Am I acting crazy? This is me though, and I like it."

Troubled reality star Amber Portwood may have tried to end her own life.
Portwood, 21 – whose explosive relationship with Gary Shirley, her ex-fiancé and the father of her young daughter, Leah, has been documented on MTV's Teen Mom – was depressed and threatening to end her life before being taken to a hospital near her Indiana home on Tuesday, according to a police statement.
"Our understanding is that Amber has been admitted to a local hospital but we have not been able to confirm the accuracy of any reports being circulated and are waiting for further details," MTV said in a statement. "Our thoughts are with her and we hope to hear more soon."

The girls are back in town, and life isn't getting any easier.
The original cast of MTV's Teen Mom – Amber, Catelynn, Farrah and Maci – returns for the show's third season. And judging by the new trailer, it will indeed be "their toughest year yet."
Custody battles, calls to the police, shouting matches and, of course, the joy and pain of raising children they didn't plan for – it's all part of everyday life for these four young women.
The new season of Teen Mom premieres July 5 (10 p.m. ET) on MTV.
