Food Network star Sandra Lee created an all-white oasis in the kitchen of her Westchester, N.Y., home, because "our days are so cluttered with stuff we have to do – chores, homework and work – so I try to keep the kitchen as uncluttered as possible."

That is until her boyfriend, New York governor Andrew Cuomo, 55, and his daughters Cara and Mariah, 18, and Michaela, 15, come home for dinner.

"We all chip in," says Lee, 46. "Some cook, some clean, some stand in front of the refrigerator and just stare, because they just can't decide on what they want!"

Sandra Lee: Having a Cockatoo Is Like Having a Dog

Sandra Lee's baby boy is growing up, but he hasn't flown away from the nest.

The star of the Food Network's Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee – and girlfriend of New York governor Andrew Cuomo – first introduced us to her pet umbrella cockatoo in January, and has an update on her 11-month-old bird.

"Having a cockatoo is almost like having a dog," Lee tells PEOPLE. "He follows me around on foot. He sits on my lap as we watch TV and he cuddles constantly."

Phoenix spent part of the summer at bird camp, where he spent time socializing with other birds and got to learn tricks. A gift from "Andrew and the girls," he also went outside on his own for the first time in August.

Kerry Kennedy Charged with DUI: Report

Kerry Kennedy, the daughter of former U.S. attorney general Robert F. Kennedy and ex-wife of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, was charged with driving under the influence after an incident on a Westchester Country highway Friday morning, according to reports.

Police said Kennedy, 52, was impaired by prescription drugs when she hit a big rig with her Lexus SUV and then fled the scene, according to the New York Post.

She was later found parked on the side of I-684 in North Castle, N.Y., and taken in for sobriety tests.

Food Network Star Sandra Lee's Boyfriend-Tested Brownies

What does Semi-Homemade Cooking star Sandra Lee whip up to surprise her boyfriend of five years, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo?

"I make him coffee brownies, and I undercook them by about 10 minutes so they're gooey – that's how he likes them," Lee told PEOPLE Friday night at Sweet, an all-dessert party she was hosting as part of the New York City Wine and Food Festival.

She might want to do a little more research the next time she springs a treat on him. At the event, which featured decadent creations from pastry chefs like Top Chef's Johnny Iuzzini, Cuomo revealed that his favorite dessert is … not brownies.
