Anne Heche Disses 'Lazy' Ex on Letterman

In a no-holds-barred interview, Anne Heche told David Letterman on Wednesday exactly what she thinks of her ex-husband, Coley Laffoon.

"Can you say 'lazy ass' on TV?" Heche, 40, asked on the Late Show with David Letterman when he inquired about her ex, the father of her 7-year-old son, Homer. She quickly retracted her statement, by saying, "No, no, no. That's terrible."

The feud between Heche and Laffoon still continues – even six months after the two reached a settlement in their divorce, which includes monthly child support payments to Laffoon for their son.

James Tupper: Son Atlas Is 'Like Having an Unreasonable Employer'

Taking a break from Daddy duty, actor James Tupper joked that fathering his newborn son, Atlas, with Anne Heche has been exhausting.

"It's a bit like having an unreasonable employer," he told PEOPLE. "He doesn't give breaks."

Tupper, who is also step-dad to Heche's son Homer, 7, from her marriage to Coley Lafoon, admits that as babies go, Atlas is very well-behaved. "I always imagine babies crying," he says. "He doesn't really. He's very sweet. He's in a warm bath of love and attention."

Anne Heche's Ex Gets $515,000 Cash in Settlement

Their acrimonious divorce lasted nearly half as long as their marriage.

But on Wednesday, Anne Heche's two-year divorce battle with Coley Laffoon came to an end. Although they reached a settlement last June to end their five-year marriage, with Heche paying $3,700 a month in child support, it took another nine months to hammer out custody details and the split of their assets.

"Anne is relieved this case is over, and is looking forward to getting on with her life and career," her attorney, Daniel Jaffe, tells PEOPLE.

According to the Los Angeles Superior Court documents:

• The pair will share 50-50 physical and legal custody of son, Homer, 7.

• Heche agreed to pay Laffoon a $515,000 lump sum cash payment. He'll also get half of all their community property, including more than $700,000 worth of stocks and other assets.

• Heche keeps her multimillion-dollar home in Vancouver, B.C.

• Laffoon waived his right to claim any spousal support.

Anne Heche Expecting Another Son?

Anne Heche has offered some blue clues of the gender of her baby.

At the Boom Boom Room's Children's Gifting Wonderland in Los Angeles on January 9, the actress and her boyfriend James Tupper chose a pair of Robeez Guitar leather booties in pastel blue, a dozen blue Happy Heinys reusable diapers and a blue MiGi baby blanket .

"She told people she was having a boy," says a source about the actress, 39, who is also a mom to Homer, 6, from a previous marriage. "They were so excited to be picking out things for a little boy."

The couple met on the set of ABC's Men in Trees and began dating in 2007. They announced they were expecting in December.

Anne Heche Reaches a Divorce Settlement

Anne Heche reached a settlement Friday in her contentious divorce from Coley Laffoon, agreeing to pay her ex-husband a $275,000 lump sum and $3,700 per month in child support for their 6-year-old son, court papers show.

The agreement marks a sharp reduction in the temporary $15,000-a-month support that the Men in Trees stars had been paying – but said she could no longer afford because she was out of work.

Under the settlement, Heche, 38, also will pay 75 percent of son Homer's private school tuition and half of "agreed-upon extracurricular activities" for the boy, according to L.A. Superior Court papers.
