Are Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis preparing to walk down the aisle?
The actress was wearing an understated gold band on her ring finger while toting a bundle of flowers in L.A. on Wednesday – but a source insists, "They are not engaged."
Still, other insiders tell PEOPLE that Kunis and Kutcher – who is separated but not yet divorced from Demi Moore – may have some exciting news to share sooner rather than later.
One source says Kutcher, 35, had talked about popping the question to Kunis around her 30th birthday on Aug. 14. "He knows what they have is amazing and special," says the source, who's in the actor's inner circle. "He's been thinking about proposing for a long time."

From an adult film star to a technological genius, the icons portrayed in Jobs and Lovelace could not be more different – but their biopics have something in common: They both hit theaters this summer, one week apart.
Lovelace, which stars Amanda Seyfried, portrays the life of porn great, Linda "Lovelace" Boreman, who broke free from her abusive manager-boyfriend and helped prevent other women from getting similarly exploited in that world. It opens this weekend.

Ashton Kutcher went pretty method to become Steve Jobs – even risking his health following the late entrepreneur's crazy diet, which landed him in the hospital. But it was the Apple co-founder's stance on education that really struck a chord.
"I found a speech that he gave and he was speaking to high school kids that were about to graduate. He encouraged these kids to maybe go to Paris and try to write poetry or fall in love with two people ... maybe this standard education wasn't the greatest means to creative solutions," Kutcher, 35, told reporters at a press conference for the film in New York City.
"I wanted to do this film to inspire young people to create the world they live in. I think that was an ethos of Steve Jobs," he said Monday.

Having memorably played a tough but warm-hearted Harvard Law professor in Legally Blonde and sassy mom Evelyn Harper on Two and a Half Men, veteran actress Holland Taylor is now up for a Tony Award for Broadway's Ann, her one-woman show in which she plays the late, feisty Texas Gov. Ann Richards.
Doubly remarkable is not only that Taylor stars in the show, but she wrote it herself. (The Tonys air live on CBS Sunday at 8 p.m.)
And while the Emmy winner has enjoyed career success, life has not been entirely glamorous for the 70-year-old, who opens up about her own personal challenges – including a long struggle with depression – in this weekend's Parade.
