The Super Bowl adstravaganza disappointed me this year. The spots, which sold for a reported $4 million per 30 seconds of airtime, were so lavish, so tricked up by CGI, so weighed down by stars, so tightly loaded to spring into a joke, they suffered from bloat.
With many of the commercials posted online and scrutinized even before the CBS broadcast, they were events unto themselves – visually and conceptually splashy, but often guilty of overreaching at the expense of the message.

Leonardo DiCaprio must have one heck of a smile.
His ex-girlfriend Bar Refaeli says a nice grin "with beautiful teeth is the most attractive thing" in the opposite sex.
"Teeth are the first thing I look at," the Israeli supermodel – ranked at the very top of Maxim's Hot 100 – tells the magazine in its September issue. "With today's orthodontists, I don't understand why people wouldn't fix them."
With pearly whites out of the way, Refaeli, 27, who is currently linked to professional snowboarder Shaun White, also requires that men don't act "too cool for school."

Bar Refaeli has gotten plenty of attention from her very sexy Maxim photos – a trend that's unlikely to end any time soon.
The magazine's Hot 100 list topper Tweeted a photo on Monday of herself with one of her many fans.
"On my way to LA. Had to chat with the pilots ..." the model (and Leonardo DiCaprio's ex, 25, Tweeted with the picture, in which she sports a baggy sweatshirt, and a much more natural, little-to-no makeup look.

Bar Refaeli is hot – really hot!
The supermodel (and Leonardo DiCaprio's ex-girlfriend) tops Maxim's Hot 100 list this year – and it's not hard to see why.
Refaeli tells the magazine in its issue, on stands May 29, that she was "shocked that among all these beautiful ladies, I'm number one." Meanwhile, Maxim's editors say the Israeli beauty "puts the 'promise' in the Promised Land."
Capping off the top 10, which was voted on by readers for the first time ever: Olivia Munn; Mila Kunis; Katy Perry; Olivia Wilde; Jennifer Lawrence; Emma Stone; Megan Fox; Malin Akerman; and Adrianna Palicki.

After calling it quits with Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli, Leonardo DiCaprio hit Hollywood Wednesday night for some time with his boys.
His group – including Lukas Haas and Emile Hirsch – took in Beacher's Madhouse, a variety show – think dancing Oompa Loompas, live monkeys, goats, and exotic burlesque dancers – presented by David Arquette, at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
The always low-key star wore his signature baseball cap and generally kept to himself. He was, however, introduced to Twilight actress Ashley Greene. After a quick hello, DiCaprio and his crew made their way outside for a bit.

It's the end of the road, once again, for Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli.
The Hollywood superstar, 36, and the Israeli supermodel, 25, who had been together for five years – minus a six-month break halfway through – have called it quits, a source confirms to PEOPLE.
The pair began dating in the spring of 2006, and tried to keep their romance low profile despite their stardom.

Leonardo DiCaprio is willing to start celebrating Father's Day. Just not anytime soon.
"Do I want to be a father? Yes, but I think I have a few more years," the Inception star, 35, tells the Swiss newspaper Le Matin. "That said, I don't think I need to have children to play a father in the movies. This feeling is in me, I understand it completely."
He adds, "In my private life, I still have time to become a dad, and I've no desire to rush."
