Julianne Moore might not have joined the cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 had it not been for the film's deep relevance to her two children – and the plot's focus on controlling your own destiny.

Talk about a delicious opening act.
Before going to see Paul McCartney perform his first show in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center on Saturday night, Julianne Moore and husband Bart Freundlich grabbed a bite at Antica Pesa in Williamsburg. Joining them for dinner: designer Rachel Roy and about seven other friends.
The casually dressed group arrived for dinner around 7 p.m., and they enjoyed dishes such as prosciutto and mozzarella, salmon tartare, cacio e pepe pasta (pasta with cheese and pepper) – as well as some lamb. The group also paired their meal with wine.
And before catching the former Beatle perform, Moore and Roy were spotted snapping pictures with Antica Pesa's owner, Francesco Panella, on their way out the door.

Like many couples, Julianne Moore doesn't always have time for a weekly date night with her husband, Bart Freundlich.
"That's kind of impossible," the actress and children's book author told PEOPLE at the opening night of Freckleface Strawberry – the musical based on her book of the same name – on Friday in New York City.
"I admire people who manage that. We try to get out when we can," Moore, 49, adds. "We're like any other couple. It’s always difficult."
"I think at the end of the day, the most important thing really is your family," she continues.
