Bethenny Frankel is happy to have a break.
The reality star and Skinnygirl mogul wrote an open letter on her website to address her talk show's cancellation, and says that although she enjoyed aspects of the show, including her staff and crew, she felt restricted by the format and is happy to get some breathing space.
"I felt a bit diluted, filtered and somewhat constricted," Frankel, 43, says. "I am a free spirit. My late father (a horse trainer) used to say, 'She is a mustang. You need to let her run.'"
"So to answer how I feel, I am relieved. What I really want right now is to be with my daughter, to do yoga, to focus on Skinnygirl and my writing, and to give myself a break."

Bethenny Frankel has played her hand well ... just about as well as anyone who found fame with a reality show called The Real Housewives of New York City could.
No, she played it better – she has been disciplined and smart. Look at IMDb.com: Bethenny has 41 credits as herself. Jill Zarin has only 25.
And, yes, LuAnn de Lesseps acted on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and released a single called "Chic, C'est La Vie." However, the ultimate reality star is she who builds the strongest career for herself as herself.

Bethenny Frankel can still do plenty of talking – just not on her own show.
Bethenny, the eponymous talk show hosted by the former reality star, has been canceled, PEOPLE has confirmed. Deadline.com reports low ratings doomed the show, although it appears she'll be ending her run in May on excellent terms.
"I had a blast doing this show with Telepictures," she says in a statement. "My entire staff worked so hard and made every day so much fun. I am thankful for the experience and for all my fans who tuned in every day."

The new year has barely begun, but Bethenny Frankel is already having a lot of fun in 2014, thanks to a new man in her life.
The talk-show host, 43, was seen getting cozy with a mystery hunk at the Mondrian Hotel in South Beach on New Year's Eve, whom PEOPLE has now identified as Michael A. Cerussi III, who goes by the name of "Mac."
Cerussi works in financial services in New York, and his family has owned a home in northern Palm Beach County.
“Bethenny was with Mac and looked very happy on New Year’s Eve,” a source tells PEOPLE. “They kissed at midnight and other times during the evening. They looked like they were having a great night.”

Bethenny Frankel has been an open book about her bitter divorce from Jason Hoppy and their custody battle over their 3-year-old daughter, Bryn.
But now she's ready to muse about what might lie ahead for her, as she begins a new chapter in her life.
"Acceptance. Confidence. Sense of humor. Ability to take charge. I'm always so in charge, I'd like someone else to take charge," she says in the December issue of Health regarding what she's looking for in a new romantic partner.

Bethenny Frankel is introducing a brand new refreshment – and this time, it doesn't matter whether it's 5 o'clock somewhere.
The former Real Housewives of New York star, new talk show host and founder of Skinnygirl cocktails, is launching a new line of 5-calorie sparkling waters called Skinnygirl Sparklers.
"I haven't been this excited about a business decision since I started my company," Frankel told PEOPLE backstage at her new syndicated talk show Bethenny in New York.
Says the star, "I know we have to drink it, but I don't really love water. I like my drink to be a little more exciting." So after receiving fan requests for a non-alcoholic beverage line, Frankel, 43, and her team came up with the new flavored sparkling waters.

When Omarosa Manigault appeared on her archrival Bethenny Frankel's talk show on Wednesday, confrontation was expected – and viewers weren't disappointed.
The pair – who've been feuding for more than three years since Frankel dismissed The Apprentice star as nothing more than a reality TV villain – didn't hold back. In the segment, Manigault suggested that the reason why Frankel had been successful was because she was white.
"It's different for you and I," she told the talk show host. "I am an African-American woman. You get to walk around and be mediocre and you still get rewarded with things. We have to be exceptional to get anything in this business."
