Jon and Kate Gosselin, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler: Reality TV has a solid track record when it comes to breaking up couples who let cameras into their homes.

So what on earth made newlyweds Giuliana DePandi Rancic and Bill Rancic think it would be a good idea to let cameras follow them in their first year as newlyweds in a long-distance relationship for their Style network series, Giuliana & Bill?

"If you are strong enough as a couple, reality shows can be a good thing for the relationship," Giuliani said Thursday at the Television Critics Association panel in Pasadena. "We shot one episode, and it was tough. I said, 'You said that about me?' He said, 'You said that about me?' I know him better now because you are forced to be in certain situations where you learn about your spouse."

So, you're Denzel Washington, and you've just finished your press blitz for The Manchurian Candidate. Now what? "Denzel is relaxing in Italy with his family on (golf champion and entrepreneur) Greg Norman's boat Aussie Rules," says a source. Norman isn't there, but Washington, 49, has been schmoozing with the likes of P. Diddy and Heidi Klum's ex, Italian playboy Flavio Briatore. "He hangs out with different people in different ports," says the source. "He's gone to Positano. He'll go to Capri and Sardinia. He's been Jet Ski-ing. He's having a great time. He loves it." Who wouldn't? Aussie Rules is a 228-ft. dreamboat of a yacht, complete with its own cinema, a library, WaveRunners, sea kayaks, diving gear and a 16-person crew. Sounds like smooth sailing to us.

Real Romance? Is Apprentice winner Bill Rancic dating The Bachelor's Jen Schefft, or not? Perhaps the two of them should set up a toll-free number and let us vote on it. "I've been to dinner with Jen a couple times," Rancic told us at a party at New York hotspot Marquee this week. "People are blowing this way out of proportion." What might be stopping the two of them? "She has her own career and I've obviously got a big task in front of me," he said. "We'll see what happens." Well, okay, but he likes her, right? "Any guy would be lucky to have her," he told us. "She's a great person. She's probably one of the most genuine women I've ever met." Hmm. Meanwhile, we wanted to know if success on The Apprentice has gone to his head. "My feet are firmly planted on the ground and I know I've got a lot of hard work ahead of me," he said. "I'm not losing perspective on reality." Though he's having "the time of my life," he expects his newfound fame to add to the challenge of overseeing the new Trump building in Chicago. "I've got a lot to prove," he said. "I'm going to be living in a fishbowl for the next year. People are going to be watching everything I do."
