Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong took to the power of Instagram and his 436,000 followers to help track down a couple's stolen dog.
The search began when a thief broke into David Baker and Cassandra Niki's San Francisco apartment and stole personal belongings and their beloved pitbull Mochi over the weekend, CBS San Francisco reported.
The rocker, 42, got word about the stolen dog from former professional skateboarder Jim Thiebaud, who called on the Bay Area community via Instagram to join the search. Armstrong quickly reposted the alert to his own feed Monday, immediately garnering thousands of likes.

Last September, Billie Joe Armstrong made headlines when, during his band Green Day's performance at the I Heart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas, the rocker unleashed a profanity-laced tirade that took aim at everyone from the concert's promoter, Clear Channel, to Justin Bieber.
The meltdown forced Armstrong to enter an outpatient rehab program for a month and in the latest issue of Rolling Stone, the frontman, who turned 41 this month, reveals his struggle to get sober.
"I'm a blackout drinker," he reveals. "That's basically what happened [that night]."

Following in the footsteps of Gérard Depardieu and Josh Duhamel, Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong is the most recent celebrity to get kicked off an airplane.
The latest cause for the boot? Apparently a dress code violation.
"Just got kicked off a southwest flight because my pants sagged too low!" Armstrong, 39, Tweeted on Thursday. "What the [expletive]? No joke!"
Armstrong's outburst didn't go unnoticed.
