Obama Girls Offered Guest Roles on Hannah Montana

President-elect Barack Obama's two young daughters have been invited to appear on Hannah Montana.
"We're pleased that Malia and Sasha are fans and, as long as their parents say it's OK, they are invited to the set of Hannah Montana and all Disney Channel shows, for a guest role or a visit, anytime," the Disney Channel says in a statement.
The Disney Channel statement follows a personal invite from Billy Ray Cyrus, father of the show's star Miley Cyrus, for Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, to take part in an episode.
"You know the Hannah Montana film comes out in April. Maybe something might happen around then," he tells Access Hollywood.

Billy Ray Fires Back on Miley Topless Photo

The Miley Cyrus photo controversy reared its ugly head once again – this time on Tuesday's Today show, when Miley's father, Billy Ray Cyrus, made his first TV comments about the negative reaction to the pictures in the June issue of Vanity Fair.
"I didn't know they were going to strip her down and wrap her in a blanket," Cyrus, appearing to promote his NBC show Nashville Star, told show anchor Meredith Vieira. Of the seemingly topless shot of his daughter, he said, "I was surprised when I saw it ... but, hey, that's life. Stuff happens."
Of the complaints that surfaced once the photos became public, Cyrus said he never thought to complain. "I didn't," he told Vieira, " 'cause my dad always said, 'The more you stomp in poop, the more it stinks.' "

Miley Cyrus gives a peek inside her "beachy" bedroom and "very girlie" dressing room in her parents’ North Hollywood home in the new InStyle.
"One of my favorite rooms is my dressing room," Cyrus says of the room's hot pink walls and black crystal chandelier. "I wanted it to be very girlie and fashiony, kind of like a boutique."
The eight-page spread also features a glimpse into the family's living room – complete with zebra striped armchairs – and kitchen in the 9,000 square foot Mediterranean style home.
"I like the house to be an escape from the insanity that is outside," says Miley's dad, Billy Ray.

Things might get a little dangerous at the CMT Awards on Monday night with Billy Ray Cyrus and powerhouse daughter Miley co-hosting.
"We did some promos a few weeks ago and they kept having Miley say all the real serious things and I'd just step in there and say, 'I wanna set something on fire!' " Cyrus tells PEOPLE. "We just went through this deal with these seatbelts and here I am doing promos for this award show, and all I say is 'I'm gonna set something on fire!' And I just said, 'Man, I'm going to get in trouble!"

Billy Ray Cyrus and his daughter, Miley, want to shoot their upcoming Hannah Montana movie in their home state of Tennessee, but it may not happen for them, according to the Associated Press.
The film will be based on their very successful and popular Disney Channel series of the same name, in which 15-year-old Miley Cyrus plays Miley Stewart who moves from Tennessee to Malibu, California. She's a normal high school student by day, but a secret pop star by night, who's known as Hannah Montana.

Every Monday at the Cyrus household starts off the same – usually. Around 7:15 a.m. country singer and Dancing with the Stars alum Billy Ray Cyrus has a hot cup of Ovaltine ready for his 14-year-old daughter Miley when she tumbles out of bed. Then the two carpool over to the set of their hit Disney Channel show Hannah Montana for their 8:30 call time. But one recent Monday the man who sang "Achy Breaky Heart" was nowhere to be found. "I'm yelling for my dad up and down the house," says Miley, curling up on a chair as her father sprawls on the floor next to her at the family's Italian-style villa in Toluca Lake, Calif. "So I'm frantic. I go outside, and his car is gone, and my mom's car is gone. So I call my dad and I'm like, 'Dad? Did you forget somebody?' He's like, 'You're not with your mama?' "
