Blake Lively Steps Out with Penn Badgley's Family

Gossip Girl stars and real–life couple Penn Badgley and Blake Lively stepped out Wednesday night with his mother and godmother in support of the women's newly-launched jewelry line, Badgley/Sneed Designs.
"[The jewelry line] is something that she's passionate about," Badgley told PEOPLE of his mother, Lynne Badgley, who started the line with his godmother, Jan Sneed. "Anything that I can support her in, I will."
At his side for the evening was Lively, who also showed support for the Badgley family. New public relations agency Jack + Bill hosted an open casting call July 16 in New York City for emerging fashion talent to win free publicity. And Badgley/Sneed Designs was a contender.

Don't ever mistake Blake Lively for another famous Hollywood blonde.
"I once heard someone say that I'm similar to Paris
Hilton – since I have a dog and blonde hair, that must mean
we're alike," Lively tells Seventeen in the August issue, out July 8. "It's a dumb thing to
say. I dont think that makes Paris and me similar ... I don't go to clubs, I don't party, I don't dance on tables, and I don't like sex tapes."
Unlike the troubled socialite she plays on Gossip Girl,
20-year-old Lively's real-life relationship with 21-year-old costar Penn Badgley is remarkably scandal free.

Blake Lively's character may have trouble fitting into New York society in Gossip Girl, but she's the toast of Hollywood in the August issue of Vanity Fair.
Along with Kristen Stewart, Emma Roberts and Amanda Seyfried, Lively's crowned one of the most promising young stars in the era of YouTube and Gawker, where celebrity comes faster – and harder – than ever before.
"Boundaries dissolve everywhere they turn their pretty heads," observes the magazine.

Gossip Girl Mom: Blake and Penn a 'Darling' Couple

The off-screen romance of Gossip Girl stars Blake Lively and Penn Badgley has met with parental approval of a sort: actress Kelly Rutherford, who plays Lively's mom on the show, gives the couple a thumbs up.
"I think they're so lovely," Rutherford told PEOPLE on Thursday at the debut of designer Rogan Gregory's fashion line for Target at Barney's department store in Beverly Hills.

Gossip Girl's TV Dad: Penn & Blake 'Good for Each Other'

Before Penn Badgley and Blake Lively were outed as a couple (see PEOPLE's exclusive pics here), Matthew Settle, who plays Penn Badgley's TV dad on Gossip Girl helped to keep gossip about the relationship between the young lovers a secret.
But now that the cat is out of the bag, he says, "I think it's nice."
Settle offered fatherly insight about Badgley and Lively on his way into the Entertainment Weekly upfront party at The Bowery Hotel in New York on May 13. (The new couple also attended.)

Blake Lively and Penn Badgley: Just Friends

They may be hot-and-heavy on their hit show, but Blake Lively swears there's no off-screen romance with her Gossip Girl castmate Penn Badgley.
Now that the show's a hit, "Everybody always tries to dig into your personal life or create things that aren't there. . . . It's silly," Lively told PEOPLE at the Chanel Fine Jewelry event on Wednesday night. "Any male friend is obviously a 'romance alert' [for the media], but I've always been friends with boys my whole life. "
(Penn also attended the event, arriving just after Lively.)
So how does she deal with the tabloid reports?
