Look out, Carol Burnett! Cameron Diaz is piling on the sass to portray the famously hardhearted Miss Hannigan in the movie remake of Annie.
The actress, 41, Tweeted a photo of herself in costume – big hoop earrings, a heap of thick chain necklaces (one of them spells out "HBomb"), dark makeup and even darker roots.
"I want you to meet someone," Diaz writes in the caption. "Her name is Ms. Hannigan. She ain't nice and she ain't pretty. #Annie"

Even celebrities double date.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner managed to sneak in time for a couples outing on Tuesday night.
The lovey-dovey duo joined fellow pair Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale at Hinoki & the Bird in Los Angeles, where the quartet shared oysters, wine and several of the eatery's other signature dishes.
"They were very nice and cordial," an onlooker tells PEOPLE of the Academy Award winner and his wife. "It sounds like Jen is the one who always picks the restaurants when they go out together. They seemed to be having a fun double date night, and Jen told the server they'll definitely be back."

New couple alert?
Rose Byrne and Boardwalk Empire's Bobby Cannavale clutched hands as they surreptitiously made their way through the crowd inside the Hall of Ocean Life at New York's American Museum of Natural History Monday night. Though the duo never posed for pictures together on the red carpet, they looked to be very much together and enjoying each other's company at a bash to celebrate IFC's hit comedy Portlandia's upcoming third season (Jan. 4, 10 p.m. ET). (When asked if they were dating, Byrne's rep had no comment.)
The soiree, which began with a screening of two upcoming episodes from the series and an introduction by its stars and writers, Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, continued into the vast ocean-themed room, lined with hundreds of models of sea creatures and bathed purplish-blue lights as a 94 ft. long blue whale hung from the ceiling.
A who's who of the comedy world stars – Martin Short; David Cross and wife Amber Tamblyn; and most of the current cast of SNL – mingled in the large room, chatting with each other and with fans (there was no separate VIP section) and grabbing drinks from the large bar in the center of the room or nibbling passed Hors d'oeuvre such as bite-sized waffles with Camembert cheese.

It was an A-list party for the A-listers!
On Sunday night, Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, Alan Arkin and Julianna Margulies celebrated their new film Stand Up Guys at The Oak Room in New York's Plaza Hotel.
"Al Pacino chatted with Christopher Walken, Alan Arkin and director Fisher Stevens as they sipped on cocktails," an onlooker tells PEOPLE.
It was a star-studded affair as Ben Stiller, Liev Schreiber, Matt Dillion, Jeremy Piven, Mariska Hargitay, Jon Bon Jovi, Alan Cumming, Girls' Zosia Mamet and Boardwalk Empire's Bobby Cannavale were all also in attendance.
After the screening at the Museum of Modern Art ended, guests enjoyed Appleton Estate cocktails, small bites of lobster claw, salmon tartar, mushroom crostinis and shrimp cocktails.

Lunch with a crunch!
Chris Rock and Bobby Cannavale had lunch Tuesday at Jacob's Pickles in New York.
At the restaurant – which specializes in Southern comfort food – the actors both opted for the same delicious dish: the honey chicken and pickles sandwich made with buttermilk fried chicken and served on a biscuit.
"They were extremely receptive to autograph seekers and seemed to want to be noticed," fellow diner Verne Isom tells PEOPLE.
The comedian-actor and the Boardwalk Empire star costarred in last year's production of The Motherf–er with the Hat on Broadway.
