The magic seems to be gone for Harry Potter stars Bonnie Wright and Jamie Campbell Bower, who have called off their engagement, PEOPLE has learned.
Wright, 21, who portrayed Harry Potter's true love Ginny Weasley in the smash saga, and Bower, 23, who joined the cast for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, became engaged in April 2010 after a whirlwind romance that began in 2009 when they met at a party.
"It's great," Wright last told PEOPLE of their relationship in 2010.

Team Twilight or Team Potter?
For Bonnie Wright, who has played Harry Potter's true love Ginny Weasley for 10 years, the rivalry is personal: Her off-screen love, Jamie Campbell Bower, costars in both franchises. In the Twilight saga he plays evil Volturi vampire Caius, and he'll portray powerful wizard Gellert Grindelwald in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
But Wright, 19, says there's no question where her allegiances lie.
"Harry Potter all the way," she told PEOPLE at Wednesday night's grand opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando. "Since I was [9-years-old]."

They've starred in two of the most popular film series of recent years. Now, Bonnie Wright and Jamie Campbell Bower are reportedly working on their own production: a wedding.
After a whirlwind romance, Bower and Wright got engaged last month, according to the U.K.'s Daily Mail.
Wright, 19, plays Ron Weasley's sister Ginny in the Harry Potter films. Bower, 21, played the vampire Caius in The Twilight Saga: New Moon. They will appear together in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, coming in November – in which Bower portrays Gellert Grindelwald.

He may have red eyes and shocking white hair on screen, but in real life Jamie Campbell Bower is "really lovely."
That's the understatement from his new love Bonnie Wright, talking about the young man from Twilight whom she's dating.
Wright, 19, told PEOPLE that the pair, who worked together on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, have been quietly going out for about six months. "It's not like we kept it a secret intentionally, but we didn't go around telling everyone either.
As for how it started: "We met at a party and we just really clicked straight away. He's a great guy, and we just enjoy spending time together."
