Sarah Palin's eldest daughter, Bristol Palin, proved her right hook is a lot stronger than her foxtrot, when she – and the rest of the Palin clan – allegedly got into a backwoods brawl at a snowmobile party in Anchorage, Alaska, on Sept. 6.

And the No. 1 reason late-night will feel a lot more lonely ...
David Letterman, 66, announced Thursday that he is retiring after more than three decades of making people laugh after their bedtimes.
The funnyman, who began in 1982 on Late Night with David Letterman on NBC before moving to the Late Show with David Letterman on CBS, told the audience at Thursday's taping that he will leave next year.
He said he broke the news earlier to CBS CEO Leslie Moonves. "I said, 'Leslie, it's been great, you've been great, and the network has been great, but I'm retiring.'"

The father of Bristol Palin's son is seeking at least equal custody.
Levi Johnston filed a petition for custody last month saying he wants 4-year-old Tripp to be in his mother's and father's lives equally.
The couple had agreed in 2010 that Palin would have primary physical custody and the two would share legal custody, according to Thomas Van Flein, Palin's attorney at that time. Johnston was given visitation and had agreed to pay child support.

One night after Bristol Palin convinced partner Mark Ballas to forgo matching bunny costumes on Monday's Dancing with the Stars, the pair was eliminated.
Ballas, 26 – who after his dismissal told reporters backstage that he was "dead serious" about dressing up as an animal pair – doesn't regret Palin's decision to play it safe, but he also points out that taking a risk with what to wear could have possibly prolonged their time in the competition.
"Hey, you can guide a horse to water, but you can't make it drink," he says.

On Monday night's Dancing with the Stars, Kelly Monaco cried tears of joy and relief after she completed a dramatic, high-scoring contemporary number with partner Val Chmerkovskiy. Meanwhile, Karina Smirnoff shed tears of a different kind following her hip-hop routine with Apolo Ohno.
Smirnoff, who began crying immediately after the dance, apologized for a mid-performance slip and fall. While the judges praised Ohno for going on with the routine like a "true professional," the pair only earned 34.5 out of 40 points, placing them third from the bottom on the leader board.
At the end of Tuesday night's elimination, did Smirnoff and Ohno kiss the ballroom goodbye, leaving perennial low scorers Kirstie Alley and Bristol Palin safe yet again?
Not the case. Bristol and Mark are heading home.
