POLL: Which Celeb 'Cop' Would You Like to Be Stopped By?

Ever have fantasies about being pulled over by a sexy police officer? Well, some famous pop stars seem to be channeling their inner patrolwoman by rocking the cop hat.

Beyoncé was the first to bring the uniform back in her "If I Were a Boy" video in 2008 in which she slams an offender on her patrol car as her crush ogles her fierce ways. Britney Spears donned a sexy cop getup during her "Circus" tour, reprimanding her cheating boytoy to her hit "Womanizer." Most recently, Victoria Beckham took the trend off the stage and onto the streets en route from a flight from L.A. this week.

Sam Lutfi Says He'll Appeal Britney's Restraining Order

Sam Lutfi Tells Court He'll Appeal Britney's Restraining Order

Originally posted 04/30/2009 02:40PM

Sam Lutfi just can't quit Britney Spears.

The pop star's former manager, 34, who was slapped with a three-year restraining order Tuesday after a judge ruled he was a threat to her, has notified a Los Angeles court of his intention to appeal.

His lawyer, Bryan Freedman, argues that Lutfi was only responding to the singer's "cries for help" to buck her father's legal control. "Sam's only crime was trying to help out a friend," says Freedman, who has argued there is no evidence that Spears suffered substantial emotional abuse.

The restraining order was requested by Jamie Spears, who has indefinite legal control over his daughter after her two forced hospitalizations in early 2008.

Casey Aldridge has been released from intensive care and is walking around for the first time since suffering a head injury in a car accident on Sunday.

"He came out of ICU," a source tells PEOPLE, adding that doctors are hopeful they'll soon be able to discharge Aldridge – the father of Jamie Lynn Spears's 10-month-old daughter Maddie – from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.

Aldridge, who turned 20 on Wednesday, was up "walking around twice [on Tuesday]," says a source close to the family. "He was a little wobbly because that's the first time he's been up since the wreck."

Sam Lutfi Ordered to Stay Away from Britney for Three Years

It's official: Sam Lutfi is a threat to Britney Spears.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aviva Bobb issued a three-year restraining order against the singer's former manager on Tuesday.

Jon Eardley, a lawyer who has repeatedly challenged the validity of Jamie Spears's legal control over his daughter, was also slapped with a restraining order for three years.

Both men must stay at least 100 yards away from Britney, her two sons, and her family members' homes, and must not harass Britney and her children, or contact them through phone, mail and email. It also prohibits them from "acting on Ms. Spears's behalf or purporting to act on her behalf." The orders, however, do not specifically protect Jamie and Britney's mother Lynne Spears, which Jamie had sought.

After three hours of closing arguments Tuesday, no ruling was made on whether to extend a restraining order against Britney Spears's ex-manager Sam Lutfi and attorney Jon Eardley.

The singer's father Jamie, who initially filed the request on Jan. 30, alleges that both men have continuously harassed his daughter, adding that Lutfi smuggled a cell phone to her at a hotel.

Bad Economy May Fold Britney Spears's Circus Tent

Will the show go on?

Britney Spears's father has been seeking permission from a judge to expand the pop star's current Circus tour – but the dour economy may hamper those plans, it was revealed in a Los Angeles courtroom Tuesday.

The pop star, 27, is halfway into a 49-show tour through the U.S., Canada and the UK, with hopes to add more dates through Europe, Australia and a possible second U.S. tour.

"It hasn't yet been determined whether it's feasible to expand tours to the Europe or Australia legs," L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz said following a closed-door discussion with Jamie and his lawyers.

"That will be determined in the future after everyone's seen the analysis, in terms of the economy and value of the dollar," Goetz added.

Britney Spears Walks Off Stage During Concert

Originally posted 04/09/2009 07:50AM

The show didn't go on in Vancouver Wednesday night after Britney Spears pulled the plug on her sold-out Circus concert 15 minutes and three songs into her performance – departing the stage and leaving the audience in the GM Place in the dark for more than half an hour. Boos ensued.

Cigarette smoke from the crowd was blamed, with a female voice announcing to the crowd, "The building is awfully smoky. It is uncomfortable for everyone on stage, including Ms. Spears. Please extinguish all cigarettes – this is a non-smoking building, and the show will resume when the smoke on the stage is cleared," the Vancouver Sun reports.

Until the agitated crowd settled down, GM Place was filled with piped-in intermission music played at hockey games – which, one concertgoer told PEOPLE, left the fans "really pissed off. The break in the concert ruined it for everyone. The vibe was gone."

Eminem Spares No Celeb in New Video

Originally posted 04/07/2009 11:00AM

Celebrities beware: Eminem is back and he's got more bite than ever.

In the first video from his upcoming album, Relapse, the rapper fires away mercilessly at celebrity culture, targeting a list of tabloid faves including Bret Michaels, Jessica Simpson, Sarah Palin, Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Amy Winehouse.

A blond-wig wearing Eminem, in the guise of Rock of Love's Michaels, opens the "We Made You," video, which premiered on MTV Tuesday morning, and so begins a romp through pop culture that offers a portly Simpson look-a-like gyrating in Daisy Dukes; a Palin clone laying prone on a desk in a bustier as a polar bear and Eskimo dance nearby; and Kardashian meeting a Fargo-like fate in a wood chipper (which converts her to cash).

Ripping into his rap, he sings: "Back by popular demand/ Now pop a little Zantac/ Or antacid if you can/ You're ready to tackle any task that is at hand/ How does it feel? Is it fantastic, is it grand?"

Is Britney Spears Trying to End Her Father's Control?

Originally posted 04/01/2009 08:30PM

It seems Britney Spears's life has gone from soap opera to spy novel.

Sam Lutfi's younger sister Christina testified in a Los Angeles court Wednesday that she recently snuck a cell phone to the pop star at a Beverly Hills hotel – a plan allegedly hatched by Spears herself.

Spears, 27, whose phone access is strictly limited by her father Jamie, had initially called Sam's cell phone number in mid-January to speak with Christina.

"[Britney] told me she wanted to get a hold of Sam," said Christina, 25, whose brother had once been Spears's manager. "She wanted him to help her find a lawyer, and wanted someone to get a prepaid cell phone to her. She was scared because her father was blackmailing her with visitation rights over her kids."

Comebacks don't come cheap.

Britney Spears's dramatic turnaround from a troubled personal life and stalled career has come with a cost of $2.7 million in legal fees, the Los Angeles Times reports.

A sizeable chunk of the total was the $417,000 price tag for legally ending her 2 ½-year marriage to Kevin Federline, and the subsequent custody battle over their children.
